Helps you park in spaces just 1.2 times the length of the car. After confirming the space is large enough, the system operates the steering while you control the pedals. Audio and visual guides help you manoeuvre. (Option as part of Convenience Pack).

The ingenious 7-seat interior of the Grand C-MAX offers you the flexibility of accessing third row seating via a walk-through. It's created by easily folding away the middle seat in the second row and is extremely handy when child seats are fitted.

You can open the tailgate from a button on the centre console, tailgate handle or key fob – great when your hands are full. The intelligent design lets you programme the opening height to avoid obstacles, such as the garage roof. For protection, two anti-pinch sensors will detect any obstruction when closing and then safely release.

The 1.6-litre EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine delivers 18% improved fuel economy with 18% lower CO2 emissions* compared to the 2.0-litre Duratec petrol engine. It's a driving technology win-win, delivering large engine performance with the fuel economy of a much smaller unit.

Seat belt reminder system

To help promote peace of mind for the driver, visual and audible alerts indicate when any seat belt is fastened or unfastened. (Grand C-MAX only)

Rear-view camera

Rear-view camera

Select reverse gear and a rearward view automatically displays on the instrument panel. You can see how close you are to objects behind and graphics superimposed on the image indicate the vehicle's direction of travel. (Option, as part of Sony DAB navigation system at extra cost, on C-MAX and Grand C-MAX Titanium).

This innovation prevents you from rolling backwards when making a hill start. After releasing the brake when stationary, the technology keeps the wheels braked and assists the driver to move away safely.

Seatbelt minder

The Grand C-MAX features a seatbelt minder system. It will alert the driver visually and audibly if seat belts are unfastened before you drive off or while you’re on the move.

This high-tech visual aid is available to help make journeys more relaxing, especially on motorways. As another vehicle enters your blind spot, the system alerts you by illuminating a warning light in the relevant door mirror.

Speed Limiter

Available as part of cruise control, this system lets you set your top speed between 19 to 70 mph. The engine management system ensures you keep within your set limit, helping you concentrate on the road ahead rather than the speedometer. (Standard on C-MAX and Grand C-MAX Titanium).

If you, or a member of your family suffer from allergies, you'll be relieved to know that the pollen filter and the materials we use inside the C-MAX meet the requirements of the 'TUV TOXPROOF Criteria Catalogue for Vehicle Interiors' by the TUV Produkt and Umwelt GmbH to minimise the risk of allergic reactions.

If doors and windows are closed , the pollen filter of the HVAC system protects the passengers from high concentrations of particles, including allergens entering the car from the outside.
