Jajce, the town of stone, light and water, royalty and an open air museum, was built on the shores of two great rivers – Pliva and Vrbas. On the outskirts of Jajce, you can find the beautiful Great and Small Pliva lakes both equipped with water mills, which the local community refer to as "mlinčići". The most recognizable symbol of Jajce is its magnificient 17 meter high waterfall (the place where the river Pliva flows into the river Vrbas). The waterfall is located in the heart of the town making Jajce one of the mostunique town in the world. In this town you have opportunuty to see the remains of four great empires (Roman, Byzant, Ottoman and Austria-Hungarian), three kingdoms (Bosnian, Hungarian and Jugoslav) and the three world monoteistic religions(Christianity, Judaism and Islam) along with a variety of architecture styles and living customs all developed and refined through the ages.
