A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III It seems like Roman Coppola is coming out with something extremely quirky and bizarre. Not a huge shock, as both Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom that he co-wrote with Wes Anderson are far from normal – though so far we have been blaming Wes for all the eccentricity and the colourful weirdos, and it seems like we’re going to have to stop. Coppola is just as hilariously odd as Anderson, if that’s possible, and soon he’ll be bringing us A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III just to prove it.

A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III The movie will tell the 1970s story of a graphic designer who fully loses it when his girlfriend dumps him, suffers from nightmares and experiences complete rock bottom. Despair is something that both Anderson and Coppola like toying with, and we’ll just have to see how far the writer/director can take it on his own. The film is currently in post production but a release date has not been announced yet. The producers Coppola and Youree Henley have promised to have it to us sometime later this year, so autumn is when we should realistically expect it to hit the screens.

A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III The casting is perhaps the most exciting part about this project as it includes Coppola/Anderson favourites Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman, Mary Elizabeth Winsted (from Tarantino’s Death Proof), Patricia Arquette (from Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gondry’s Human Nature), Katheryn Winnick, Aubrey Plaza (from Judd Apatow’s Funny People) and just out of Sober Valley Lodge, Charlie Sheen. The team of comedy actors makes for a highly promising film and the fact that post-meltdown Charlie Sheen landed the lead role of Charles Swan III shows Coppola’s open mindedness and worth mentioning trust in the actor. And as we trust Charlie Sheen’s acting skills and comical timing too, we should just focus on the fact that this will be a very enjoyable film to watch.

A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III A dark comedy that deals with confusion, despair and reflection seems like the perfect film for Roman Coppola to write and direct, Charlie Sheen to get the lead role in and Bill Murray, Patricia Arquette and Jason Schwartzman to support. Moral lessons such as self-evaluation and turning-life-around will be discussed, however with Jason Schwartzman fully bearded and playing a 70s looking stand-up comedian and with Bill Murray dressed fully in black and sporting a top hat, it is not likely that we’ll take those lessons seriously.

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III looks and sounds odd, surreal and eccentric. And this is exactly why we can’t wait to see it.
