PML-N Balochistan President Sardar Sanaullah Zehri has said that if his party forms the government in the province, establishing peace would be his one-point agenda.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta on Wednesday, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri said that it was the desire of all parties to form a strong government that could tackle the law and order situation effectively.
On the occasion, Raza Muhammad Agha, winning candidate from PB-2, and Sarfraz, independent winner from Dera Bugti -- announced unconditional support for the PML-N. It brightens the PML-N chances of forming the government in the province. Zehri said that Balochistan needed a strong person who could end the situation of uncertainty in the province. He said that Punjab was developed only because there was peace, which is essential for development.
He said that he was the nominated candidate for CM slot in Balochistan by the party provincial leadership.
He said that a strong opposition was necessary for maintaining good governance, adding that one of the failures of the former government was that there was no opposition in Balochistan.
He called the elections free, fair and just when compared to 2008 elections and said that his party would also make efforts to talk to disgruntled Baloch. He praised party leader General (r) Qadir Baloch, saying that he was the most appropriate person to be appointed as the home minister.
On his turn, General (r) Qadir Baloch said that party position got improved under the leadership of Sardar Sanaullah Zehri and Baloch could be brought into mainstream politics. A delegation of PkMAP led by provincial president Usman Kakar also met Sardar Sanaullah Zehri at his residence to discuss the government forming process.
PML-N sources said that a five member committee comprising General (r) Qadir Baloch, Hajji Lashkari Raisani, Naseebullah Bazai, Jamal Shah and Sardar Yaqoob Nasir, had been formed to negotiate a possible coalition with other parties.
