Chairman's Welcome Message by Mr YIP Wing-shing, BBS, MH, JP Welcome to the homepage of the Central and Western District Council (C&W; DC). C&W; DC is constituted under the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547) for the purpose of advising the Government on district affairs and promoting recreational and cultural activities as well as environmental improvements within the district. The fourth term of the C&W; DC of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is established on 1 January 2012. We are committed to reflecting public views, monitoring the management of district facilities and delivery of public services and, at the same time, promoting district development. We have designed our homepage as a gateway to C&W; DC, through which you can learn more about the Central and Western District, C&W; DC meetings and C&W; DC funded activities. Our aim is to encourage social integration and public involvement in community affairs, as well as to promote the district as a premier heritage and cultural centre.
