Welcome to the official home page for the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station EIS.The Federal Transit Administration (FTA), as the federal lead agency, in cooperation with the City of Alexandria, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and the National Park Service (NPS), are initiating the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Potomac Yard Metrorail Station. The EIS is being prepared in conformance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), as amended, and other applicable regulations and procedures.

What's New?
The City of Alexandria Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Group (PYMIG) will hold a meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Alexandria City Hall to speak with members of the public about the proposed Potomac Yard Metrorail Station, the environmental planning process, and the station alternatives that are being proposed.
