Sidelines represents a diverse range of writers to cover the gamut of genres and requirements, from developing an indie game’s character bios to building a comprehensive plotline for a AAA title.

A Lead Writer can oversee the tone of your story and guide the “voice” of the game while championing the story and characters throughout development.

An experienced Narrative Designer will work closely with the dev team to find all potential storytelling elements and maintain the narrative structure throughout the game’s development.

The advantage of having a roster of writers is that we have access to many professional and experienced writers at once. If you need a lot of writing done in a short amount of time a writing team could be the solution.

In addition to creating or joining existing writing teams, our experienced Sidelines writers are also great for brainstorming and providing original ideas for new games under development. These sessions bring together members of the dev team with story experts to come up with ideas for plot and character.

Many of our writers have television writing experience which translates well into family friendly games, whether it’s developing characters or injecting humour and personality into tutorial scripts. We have specialists in comedy, kids, and writing for well-known personalities.

Sidelines writers also enhance mobile games by providing character and story design, as well as writing dialogue and story. This dialogue can be for text-only as well as voice over.
