On July 7, 2013, more than 80 selected works of the International Sculpture Contest were displayed at China Sculpture Museum in Qingdao. The more than 80 displayed works were selected by the Organizing Committee of the contest from the 2,500 entries from over 40 countries, including the United States, Belarus, and Italy. Featuring great cultural implications, ingenious designs, good compatibility with the natural environment, and fine craftsmanship, the selected works are exceptional urban sculptures and works of art for the public. They embody the theme of “From the earth, for the Earth” and the concepts of “Cultural Inspiration and Technological Innovation” of Expo 2014, as well as the philosophy of the contemporary sculpture art circles around the world.
