Looks a bit quiet? [Aug. 19th, 2006|12:21 pm]
Hi! This community looked like just the sort of one I'd like to be a part of, but it seems that it is pretty quiet sadly. :/So, is anyone out there?

[Current Location |Andenes, Norway] [mood nerdy] [music Billy Idol :: Rebel Yell]Hi. I'm Kristine, 19, from Norway. Senior in a vocational secondary school specializing in rocket science. That's not too terribly important tho'Been doing webdesign for years now. Started from scratch, taught myself what I know so it's been progressing at turtle speed at times, hehe. Still not fluent in any scripting language but using several at the moment. Currently using Dreamweaver + notepad for coding and photoshop for design. I just started experimenting with php and it's wonders and it made life a lot easier:) My family bought a domain for us to make our own personal sites, but so far I am the only one doing that.My baby, who's almost 3 years old, is called Tanner Central and it is a Full House fansite. I started playing with the idea back in 1999, but since I didn't know squat about webdesign, and my computer ate all of my files about 4 times a year, it wasn't online until 2003. Most of the upgrades has happend during the last year, I was able to take a few web related classes during my hs exchange last year (and they have such things as student discounts on software in america, w00t). I also have a personal site but it's in revamp mode atm.Anyways, that's me. ( Now, here's a question for you:Collapse )

lost... [Apr. 17th, 2006|04:00 pm]
[mood** |annoyedannoyed] [music** traffic outside]Hi! Does any one know of a decent FTP system that will work with www.name2host.com ? I have an interesting situation...My site's domain is registered at www.godaddy.com and I am trying to move it to www.name2host.com, where my host is located. (long story short, I signed up with godaddy not knowing I had to pay additional expenses for hosting service, and name2host simply gives me more bang for my buck) There are two problems: name2host said that they would transfer my html information from godaddy to their site (after I paid a credit card fee for hosting). This was maybe a week or so ago...how long does it take? And I can't seem to find an FTP service that will successfully upload my html info. Gah! If any of you lovely ladies can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks ever so much.~Monie

Hi.This sounded like a rad/nifty/cool community, so I thought I would join.I've been.. building webpages (specifically mine) for about 8 years now. most of my work is done in dreamweaver, although the recent revision had alot of help and is now run in Plone. (which i don't actually know much about)I've redesigned my portfolio page three times. this last design is my favorite by far and can be found at http://squish-art.com . I also devolped a bands website page little over a year ago, but they change the site once a year. an archive of that page can be found at http://nobody.croyle-hill.com/ .Anyways, I suppose thats my introduction. :)

First Introduction [Sep. 9th, 2005|09:29 pm]
Hey, my name is Hal (short for Halley) and I created this community. We'll see how well it does, heh. Anyway, I'm 19 years old and have been making websites since the ripe young age of 14. Right now I'm going to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities for Linguistics. My website is halspages.com, though I have made quite a few more in my time, but those are all linked from Hal's Pages.Anyway, enjoy the community!
