Ceremony site in pictures [Feb. 12th, 2005|03:32 pm]Hudson Valley Weddings
Hello ladies :-)I haven't posted anything in here for quite some time so I thought I'd return with some photos of the church I am having my ceremony at. Some local pics for you :-)Cragsmoor, New York to be exact, its right near Ellenville. Its in the middle of the Shawangunk and Catskill mountains, and it sits on a cliff. Its just to die for up there. I went to Pine Bush high school so I was very close to this spot in those years. This was always my favorite place to go when skipping school in the Springtime ;-) The cliffs there (Sam's Point) are amazing; there are ice caves inside them and from the top one could go hang gliding. But its a hike to get up there so we'll be on the other side playing it safe at the church :-)The Chapel of the Holy Name is more of a historical site than an active church. There are only services once a month or something, don't quote me on that but its not very often. The woman who runs the church now is the great-granddaughter of the woman who built it. Its very off the beaten path, makes you feel like you are in another world up there in the mountains, and hardly any radio stations even come in as you drive up there. **( Enough babble, she says, bring out the pictures:Collapse )**Please feel free to share pictures of where you are having your ceremony as well!
