[ mood \| contemplative ] A/N: Well folks, since I'm such a huge procrastinator when it comes to fandom writing/drawing, I've decided to write a few drabbles based on one of my favorite movies; The Addams Family (1991 & 1993 starring Anjelica Houston and Raul Julia). All who love and appreciate the comics, cartoons, television series and movies are welcome to read these drabbles as all of the versions are relatively the same. contemplative ] A/N: Well folks, since I'm such a huge procrastinator when it comes to fandom writing/drawing, I've decided to write a few drabbles based on one of my favorite movies; The Addams Family (1991 & 1993 starring Anjelica Houston and Raul Julia). All who love and appreciate the comics, cartoons, television series and movies are welcome to read these drabbles as all of the versions are relatively the same. Now a musical version of "The Addams Family," based on cartoonist Charles Addams' creepy characters, is planned for Broadway, aiming to arrive during the 2009-2010 season.The show features music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, who composed the score for the off-Broadway version of "The Wild Party," while Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, who wrote "Jersey Boys," will provide the book, producer Stuart Oken announced Monday."The Addams Family" will be directed by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch, best known in New York for their work on the equally macabre "Shockheaded Peter."Among the ghoulish folks in Addams' menagerie are Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch. I thought this may be of interest: it's a script of the 1991 movie - with scenes that weren't in the movie!sample:" _Solemn and mournful, ten-year-old Wednesday has black hair and white skin like her mother. She sits on a stool among the stored Addams' family objects, ONE END OF A STRING TIED TO HER TOOTH, THE OTHER TIED TO A TRAP DOOR. The trap door is flung open, GRANNY pokes her head through. She's a giggly hag who looks like she was in the bathtub when the hairdryer fell in. Wednesday's pulled tooth swings at the end of the string. WEDNESDAY Thank you, Grandmama. In a foul mood, Granny tromps up into the attic. GRANNY You kids are going to have to kill your own breakfast this morning. Wednesday opens a cigar box. Inside the box are assorted human and animal teeth, fangs and dentures, along with a collection of glass eyes. I don't know if this is common knowledge or not... I never knew where Wednesday's name came from. While I was watching an interview on the show DVD set, I noticed the actress that played the original Wednesday, Lisa Loring, said that she had to always act sad - "like Wednesday's Child." I'd never heard of the expression before, but when I looked it up, I found that it's from a nursery rhyme:MONDAY'S CHILD IS FAIR OF FACEby Mother GooseMonday's child is fair of face,Tuesday's child is full of grace,Wednesday's child is full of woe,Thursday's child has far to go.Friday's child is loving and giving,Saturday's child works hard for a living,But the child born on the Sabbath Day,Is fair and wise and good and gay. Maybe most people have heard of this poem and I somehow missed it... But just in case this is new knowledge to anyone else, I thought I'd post it.What day were you born?

They are then encouraged to write a chapter of their own. I thought it would be of special interest of the members of this community because there have been no chapters written from Wednesday's point of view... yet!I just thought I'd mention it - in case somebody here is interested in progressing Wednesday's story.

They are then encouraged to write a chapter of their own. I thought it would be of special interest of the members of this community because **there have been no chapters written from Wednesday's point of view... yet!**I just thought I'd mention it - in case somebody here is interested in progressing Wednesday's story.
