Apr. 20th, 2008 02:05 pm Happily HappyHello!I've been working my fingers off on another show lately. Yes, I hear you, so what else is new? But seriously. I am really very pleased with this one, and it's not at one of my usual venues, so I am officially asking you all to come see it. It's Once Upon A Mattress at Curry College in Milton, MA. It's a fluffy froth of a show. The original production in 1959 marked the debut of Carol Burnett in the starring role of Princess Winnifred. The Broadway revival starred Sarah Jessica Parker in the same role. The recent ABC movie gave Carol Burnett the chance to revisit the show, this time in the role of Queen Aggravaine (but the movie butchered the show, honestly). Our production has a wonderful Winnifred, a young woman named Jennifer Fogarty who has a phenomenal voice. And there are my costumes, which are IMHO the best things I've done since Les Liaisons Dangereuses. So I'm asking you all to come see it. It has a very strange run - only one weekend, but it's Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday! So even those of you in other shows might be able to come.Below the cut I'm going to give you a little teaser preview of the costumes, and then give you the ticket info..( Right this way!Collapse )1 comment - Leave a comment |
Apr. 16th, 2008 01:22 pm oh, my ears...I love internet radio, I really do. Live365.com is fabulous in my sewing room. However, every now and then you hear things you wish didn't exist.the disco remix of "The Tale of Sweeney Todd" is one, although it's entertaining.Chuck Wagner singing "Stars" from Les Mis, however, should never have been recorded.Current Location: the sweatshopCurrent Music: live365.comLeave a comment |

Apr. 3rd, 2008 10:34 am letter to bobDear apocalypticbob,I don't really know how to tell you this, but our horoscopes don't match. I think I realized it when I tripped on sesame seeds at the Hare Krishna graduation and I saw you castrate the crazy monk. I'm sure you're ashamed enough to understand that Extreme Home Makeover sucks. I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep your left ear as a memory. You should also know that I get sick when I think of the apartment building.Good luck on your short-term leave from jail, wendyhouse**( wtf???Collapse )** Current Mood: stressed2 comments - Leave a comment |
Apr. 1st, 2008 08:55 pm A Week In The Life of wendyhouse, Volume 1padawansguide posted an interesting blog challenge thingie , and I thought I would jump on the bandwagon .. since I'm building a show at the moment, at least I have things to photograph other than Nedward.Aim of the Game> For one week you are to post photographs taken during the day. They can be of absolutely anything, just as long as they are shot between the hours of 12am - 12pm of each day. yeah, did you notice that too? that's half a day. I'm going to say, every time I post a new day starts._Rules>You must take between 6-8 new photographs each day.>Your WITL must be CONSECUTIVE. No skipping days.>You must post your photographs at the end of that day, sometime after the last picture is taken.>Each photograph must have the time taken beneath and ...>a title, with no other explanation._I'm probably going to skip that time part. at least for today, because I forgot about it. Maybe I will put it in tomorrow._>You must post these rules at your first entry, then link back to it for the other 6 days so people know wtf you're doing.>Your post must say "A Week in the Life of ((Your name/username)), Volume ((whatever day you're up to.))_I'm going to do mine via an inserted tabblo, because I love tabblo and loading images to LJ is a pain. So, here we go.( Day 1 - April firstCollapse )2 comments - Leave a comment |
