11/25/07 07:16 pm - amelie_xia - New Game of Werewolf? Hey Everyone.I know it's been about a year (simply way to long) but hopefully you're all still there.Anyways, Just out of curiousity, if Kyrsten and I were to start a new game, take two, who would be able to participate. This isn't a sign up, simply a question. If I get over eight people (perferably ten) then i'll start a new game.Thanks. Hope you've all had a good year :)
1/2/07 06:45 pm - amelie_xia - The End of Game two. I'm sorry to say that this game of werewolf is going to have to come to a close. The remaining villagers are the winners.Durning the course of the game several people signed up and then pulled out, included *both* werewolves. This simply can not happen. We also had a problem with very few people actually participating in posts and debates. The next game will start as soon as agbirdie and I decide who's modding the game, but this time there are a few conditions to game play:1. If you sign your name for the game, be -certain- you can play it. While we both understand that sometimes real life can get in the way of game play, and sometimes unexpectantly, we can not have multiple people pull out of the game at various points. 2. After the game has statered you are expected to participate fully in every debate and post. If you won't be able to (such as you're going to be away on vaction for a weekend, or your internet is down, ect, ect) then kindly leave a notice for the other players and email the mod's to let everyone know where you will be. Thanks. I hope everyone will participate in the next game, and I hope it goes a lot more smoothly. Keep your eye's peeled for a sign up post, and those who put their names on the notification posts will soon recieve an email telling when the game will start.I hope you all had a good winter holiday. :)
11/24/06 10:50 pm - agbirdie - Mailing List (Sorry about the original post - it seems I am bad at explaining myself. This post has nothing to do with the current game and everything to do with any games we'll play later.)Through the last two games, there have been players who wanted to take part but somehow missed the registration post. We don't want this to happen any more (especially since we feel really bad about adding players after the game has started) so we're starting a Reminder List. This DOES NOT automatically register you for every game -- it just means you'll get an extra reminder when a new game is about to begin.* If you'd like to put your name on the list, just comment here with an email where we can reach you. * If you'd like OFF the list, just leave a comment saying so.
11/24/06 08:33 am - amelie_xia - Werewolf A feeling of security had settled over the village that night, as everyone knew that they had truly destroyed one of the beasts that plagued them. Looking back on that night, the villagers realized how foolish they had been, to think it was almost over. It wasn’t, not by far. ( To the DeathCollapse )
11/16/06 10:22 am - amelie_xia - Werewolf : The hanging prt 2 A gibbet had been made from an old oak tree that stood naked of leaf and color from the storm and rain of the previous nights. Its shadows loomed up over the villagers gathered beneath it, dancing with the fading rays of light as the sun began to sink towards the tree-line of the far forest. Torches were grasped in the hands of many, each awaiting the forbidding night that would be soon to come. ( To the death!Collapse )
10/30/06 09:24 pm - amelie_xia - Werewolf - Voting day two Though the storm hadn’t returned, the village was once again plagued with a consistent rain throughout the morning. Thick layers of mud had been made of the previously hard packed dirt pathways leading from house to house, and as the townsfolk amassed together in the town hall building, they trekked it onto the wooden planks beneath their boots in heavy swaths. The dampness of the rain and humidity of closely ensconced bodies caused a permeating pungent odour to circle around the air, and it assaulted the every villager’s nose as they awaited the first words of the eldest councilman. The old man knew that nerves were wearing thing among his people, and that fear had all but encompassed each and every one of their hearts. He watched as uneasy people sent malicious looks at the backs of others when they thought no one was looking, and certain families had grouped together, believing that strength truly lay in numbers. The old councilman cleared his throat, and every pair of eyes slid towards him. “The situation grows graver with each passing moment. My people, it is time to cast our suspicions against another whom we believe to be the monster in our ranks. Vote now, but remember to vote wisely, as we do not want another innocent’s blood soaking our hands.”
10/25/06 03:29 pm - amelie_xia - Werewolf : The second death She was so innocent; so young. Everyone in the village had warned her not to walk off into the forest, but she loved everything and everyone in the world. That’s what had brought her wandering out of doors to watch a deep sunset. Watch the tops of trees change from bright oranges and browns to a full blood red. Blood: red, sticky, everywhere. ( To the deathCollapse )
10/20/06 04:50 pm - amelie_xia - Werewolf : The Hanging A crude pyre had been erected in the center of the village during the late afternoon of the day – its construction a way to pass time through the long gruelling hours as each person weight their vote on both conscious and evidence. One long post jutted out from the ground as if in defiance, a symbol for the villagers’ own defiance against the predator moving amidst them. Half an hour before sunset, people began to gather at the center of the village before the pyre. As before, the eldest councilman stepped forth, and spoke to the people before him. “Your votes have been counted, and unanimously it has been decided whom the werewolf amongst us is. Bring her forward!” ( Onwards!Collapse )
10/18/06 10:17 pm - amelie_xia - Voting: Day One. It was time. The villagers had once again amassed in the center of Notine, each shooting quick glances around at his or her peers and loved ones. Suspicion circled about in the air like an angry flock of blackbirds, making the villagers restless. The eldest councilman separated himself from the crowd and stepped forward, his heavy footsteps and gnarled walking stick catching everyone’s attention.“It is time for your decision,” he called out to the crowd. “The monsters must be stopped, and it has fallen to us to root out the evil amongst us. Come forward with your suspicions and accusations. Cast your vote now.”
10/18/06 10:27 am - amelie_xia - Switching. A strange air had settled over the village as each family locked themselves behind doors to discuss their vote. Fear mixed with suspicion, worry with doubt. The storm had not only brought fallen trees, lost livestock, damage to the houses – most severely to the communal stable on the edge of the village – it heralded nightmares made flesh. Werewolves were the creatures that haunted shadows, a story that had almost faded to legend, were it not for the poor woman’s corpse that had been burned. ( ProceedCollapse )
