Man-Portable Obstacle Breaching
Conventional minefields, booby traps, unexploded ordnance and man-made obstacles, such as triple barbed wires and concertina coil are meant to stall military operations and bog down combatants in enemy killing fields. This can have a devastating cost – momentum and surprise once lost in military operations are difficult to achieve again. Wescom POMBS can also be used for humanitarian demining.
Detection & Sensing
Wescom Defence leads in Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA) detection technologies, offering advanced kits for identifying explosives like peroxides (TATP, HMTD), inorganic nitrates (AN, UN), nitroaromatics (TNT, DNT), organic nitrates (NG, PETN), and nitramines (RDX, HMX).
