Seneca, SC– Furman Durell Rochester, 82, husband of Nancy Gambrell Rochester, of 308 Horseshoe Drive, Seneca, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

A native of Salem, SC, Mr. Rochester was the son of the late Furman and Agnes Crumpton Rochester, He graduated from Salem High School, Salem, SC and from Clemson University. He retired in December of 2002 after 29 years of employment at Tri-County Technical College. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92 in Walhalla, SC, for more than 50 years and was a member of the Hejaz Shrine. Mr. Rochester was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, Mr. Rochester is survived by his two brothers: James Revel Rochester of Salem, SC and Aaron J. Rochester of West Union, SC; and a niece: Karen Sabrina Rochester of West Union, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rochester was preceded in death by his two sisters-in-law: Genell Holcombe Rochester and Maxine Wald Rochester.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Davenport Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Davenport Funeral Home.
