i got into my second choice school, University of Oregon, (after getting rejected from my first choice, UC Santa Cruz) and i'm totally excited. only bad side, now i've got three colleges to choose from, and i keep "flip flopping" between them. i need your unbiased advice so here are all the pros and cons for each school that i can think of:**University of OregonProsbig collegenice campustraditional "four year school" feeling to itfar away from homeConsdoesn't have the specific major i am interested inmore expensive because i am a Californian residentthe actual town of Eugene, Oregon sucksfar away from schoolPortland State UniversityProsPortland, Oregon seems awesomeurban campushas the specific major i'm interested infar away from homeConsfeels less like a "college", in the traditional sensenot as prestigiousthe dorms suck (big hairy balls!)it would kind of be like settling for less if i go here..far away from homeSan Francisco State University**Prosi love San Franciscocheaper (because it's in my state)pretty campusrelatively nice dormsclose to homeConswaaay to close to home!thought of as a slacker school, by somefacilities aren't as up to date as the other two schoolsmight not be forced to step outside my boundaries if i go to a school so closeworked too hard in school to end up going here.....so for now that's all i can think of. please let me know your opinion, it would be quite helpful!Apr. 12th, 2005 @ 05:58 pm(12 comments | Leave a comment) |
