*Do not identify accidentally logged-in users (anon fails).

*Don't embed videos. Links only, please. Similarly, don't circumvent the default behaviour of images for anonymous posters.

*Stick a warning on NSFW pictures.

*Do not commit illegal activities.

*If your squee is easily harshed, do not read who_anon.

*Don't hassle the mods.

Mods will use their discretion. If your thread or comment is deleted, edit and repost.

Meme FAQ

1. What is the meme for? Isn't it just a hate meme?

This community is a place to vent within limits, but, more than that, it is a place for "bonding without baggage." There are few places on LJ where those ever-warring Kamelion and Adric fans can argue in one thread, and squee over Nimons in another. If you do not agree with the concept of anonymity, do not read who_anon.

2. Is this comm only for Doctor Who?

No. It's for Doctor Who and its spin-offs.

3. How much does the meme love pc_handy?

Verrah, verrah much.

4. What's a pissmidget?

All the episodes of "Logopolis," or just the one episode of "Midnight." In other words, a full story.

5. Why is everyone shouting? Are they angry?

No. Typing in all caps is just tradition for a lol meme. Some follow it. Others don't.

6. What are these "BNF"s and "SMOF"s I keep hearing about?

7. How do I post pics like they do in the picspams?

If they were uncontroversial, it was almost certainly LJ being robust. Refresh and they'll probably come back. If you've tried that and they were controversial enough that you think they might have been screened for rule-breaking, ask in the mod post.

10. Anon hates something/someone I like!

If your squee is easily harshed, do not read who_anon. We do not freeze comments simply because they are unpopular or we receive complaints about them. If you think a comment violates the rules, report the link. Try to not to escalate threads you perceive as trolling and do not assume the mods have already seen it.

11. You froze/screened a thread for trolling. I am not the troll you seek!

The mods reserve the right to freeze threads they suspect are trolling or violating the rules. Frozen threads might include comments that are not trolling. Move on.

12. What if I think I know who is trolling?

Do not call out anons on the meme. Calling out means linking anonymous comments to identifiable LJers, including accidentally logged in LJers who quickly delete their posts. If you have information you think the mods should know about, send a message, screencap, or link to a mod.

13. What about outing fans?

Do not out fans. Outing means linking usernames to real names, jobs, etc., if it's not common knowledge. The mods have been confused about what is common knowledge, so the real name needs to be in the journal profile or anons need to have a public link to prove the username intends to out their real name. Don't dig for connections.

14. What is EotW!Anon?

EotW!Anon and Other EotW!Anon are anons who like Enemy of the World. They are the official meme mascots. We &hearts&hearts them very much.
