This is a petition concerning the upcoming decision on cutting budget for IRIS, Family Care and Personal Care Services. Governor/Mayor Scott Walker wants to cut funding to services that help people with special needs/disabilities and healthcare.

It would effect thousands of people out there that rely on IRIS and those services-it would be more difficult for the people to get help in daily life or helping them in anyway to overcome challenges in life. On Facebook there is a page called SAVE IRIS in which the organization/community have come together to help spread the word about heinous and ridiculous vote to cut funding for people with disabilities/healthcare.

So I've decided to start this petition to help raise signatures and email this to the legislators of Wisconsin to show just what we think of Scott Walker's "diabolical plan" to cut funds for special needs/disabled and healthcare for the thousands out there.

Spread this around and help get the word out and voices heard to save IRIS, Family care and personal care services for the disabled, special need and healthcare individuals out there.

Would you ride the train?

Imagine riding the train to Chicago or the Twin Cities, or from La Crosse or Eau Claire to Madison or Milwaukee, or from Madison to the Dells, or maybe to a Brewers Game, or one day even to a Packers game! How cool! No traffic, no stress, no road rage, and all the while you can work on your computer or talk on the phone . . . stress-free! Ahhh! I feel the relief already.

At the same time, you’ll be reducing energy consumption, dependence on oil, climate change emissions, congestion (for those that are driving), and travelling more safely.

Plus, there are jobs that come with building and running those trains, so you’ll also be rebuilding the economy!

Holy crap! Why are we even debating this?!?!

Please sign and like this Facebook poll if you would ride the train. [link]

I wish! Our town hasn't had passenger service since 1947. Worse yet, a portion of tracks through the town were ripped up last summer.

Sweet, first member haha. Thanks for letting me join!

Thanks for joining! :)
You responded very quickly!

If you have any Wisconsin-based art, feel free to upload it! I'm still filling in some blanks here so the Group doesn't look like it's only an hour old (even though it is...)
