With Book0rs' Journal (original) (raw)

I just finished The Live-Forever Machine, by Kenneth Oppel (who wrote Silverwing, Sunwing, and Firewing - also all good books!). It was absolutely fantastic.

Basically, in about 300 AD, two guys discovered the secret to immortality. The one guy, the older one, had never intended to use it, but the younger one (named Coil) did. Anyway, the younger guy began destroying the world, to put it simply. In order to create a balance, the older one became immortal, too, but dedicated his life to preserving the past.

And now, this kid named Eric meets Alexander, and learns that Coil wants to destroy him (Alexander, not Eric), so he has to try and stop him.

Long, badly-written review, I know, but go out and read it! It was amazing.
