The weather was supposed to be sunny and close to 60 degrees, a good day for a ride - if you're properly bundled up.
Us three Southtowners arranged to meet in North Collins, and we would hook up behind whomever started the ride in Hamburg.
Here is Booperbiker as we wait for Bubbles to arrive and complete our trine.
Off we went, south down Route 62.
Stopped at this not-so-little antique store in Cherry Creek.
I think we all bought some stuff.
I found a Royal Haeger pottery vase, a McCoy wallpocket, and a Bumblebee pencil case.
This sign behind the counter made me laugh.
I need one.
Parking at the Trillium Lodge for lunch.
Prime, Aurora, BoPink, Bubbles.
"So I sez to him, touch my bike again and I'll shoot ya."
Booperbiker makes her point.
Sluurrrp.
Dueling cameras.
Yummy food, but they took forever to serve. We always seem to have bad luck with restaruants. Why is that, ladies?
Posing all decked out in our cold weather gear ready to head home.
Prime, BoPink, Ravenstar, Booperbiker and the back of Bubbles' head.
Hard to tell from the pic, but these are tiny, wild grapes hanging all over the tree.
A stop at Aunt Millies to get some dessert to go, and home we went.
It was a good day.

Our last road clean up for the year! Hooray!
Aurora was the first to arrive, all bundled up because of the cold.
I forced Aurora to pose at our sign. Thanks.
They look cold, don't they?
Fringee, Wild Child and BoPink.
And look who shows up after we are through picking up stuff - Ravenstar.
Oh, and by the way, no Ravenstar, we don't have to pick up the dead animals!
See you on the side of the read next year.

Video ganked from bikergeek who posted it in motorcycles a few days ago.

This rider is crazy, I was waiting for him to crash throughout the whole thing.
Which reminded me of these pics I received in an email.
( Graphic crash picsCollapse )
Apparently the guy did survive.
9/18/10 Road Clean Up & THE PINK HOUSE!
September 19th, 2010
Twas time for another road clean up. We arrived at 10am.
Some of us (the old farts) took the easy half, the youngsters went up the hill.
Getting distracted by a garage sale.
Pine Hill Coffee Service thought they could make some money when she saw the bikes.
Apparently, ABATE was cleaning up something, somewhere.
Here we are, in all our glory.
Booperbiker, Fringee, Squeekee, Faithwalker, BoPink, Ravenstar, Nettie, Freewheeler and Aurora.
Done with the dirty stuff, we needed some lunch before the long ride to find the pink house.
Took us about an hour and a half ride from East Aurora to Wellsville.
And, boy was it ever PINK!
Stupid car parked in front ruined the pic.
Apparently, people stop and gawk at the house all the time.
And we were all a bunch of nosy nellies, we walked around the block to peek through the bushes.
Yes, the garage and servant's quarters were all pink.
We parked right across the street from the house.
"Frank - there's a motorcycle gang parked across the street! Do something!"
"Don't get your nickers in a twist, Doris. You call the cops and I'll get my shotgun."
That was it. No tours or anything, as it is a privately owned home.
I wonder if they get annoyed by all the attention?
On the way home, we stopped at a country store in...I think it was Belmont.
Lots of cool stuff inside.
I bought some pumpkin fudge - which is yummy. And a BD gift for my brother.
But, I'm not saying what it was, as he sometimes reads these posts.
Nettie takes a break amongst all the clutter on the porch.
We split up here, Booperbiker, Ravenstar and I stayed toward the south to go home.
Everyone else went...I don't know, as I wasn't there!
Here's the link to The Pink House info:
Thanks everyone!

Having nothing better to do on Labor Day, Prime, Booperbiker and Bubbles visit Tigger at her summer campground.
There was lots of food to be eaten.
"Gimme some of that!" I can't remember Tigger's dog's name. Sorry.
After eating, we went for a tour on the golfcarts.
Doggy likes to drive.
Booperbiker and Heather, one of the neighbors.
Nice looking spot for a camp.
Some scenes.
Prime spasmed out over this 'gay' baby Ironhide.
So pretty.
Riding home, we got a bit lost.
But, because of Booperbiker's fearless leadership ability, we made it back to RT. 219.
"If you don't put that camera away...."
"You hold her down and I'll pummel her with a brick."
Cows in a field! But, no bikes or the name of the road.
Whadda want - we were lost, for petes sake!
Where the HELL did all this goldenrod come from?
Another sign of Fall.
Our riding days are limited, ladies!

Went on a spur-of-the-moment ride.
First to Connors to eat.
But, Bubbles wanted ice cream first, and finished up as Booperbiker and I ordered burgers.
Then we took off to Super Freeze, so we could have ice cream, while Bubbles ordered dinner.
Inside Super Freeze (because there was air conditioning), Booperbiker says, "NO, you can't have any of my ice cream!"
