**01:15 pm - Intro**Hey, Agg is my main server, and I have a few chars. on it.Horde side, my main is a lvl 37 Tauren Hunter by the name of Frosthoof, and I also have a lowlvl Orc Hunter I'm gonna take to battlegrounds by the name of Flamewench. Ally side I have lvl 31 NE Priest by the name of Narah, and a lvl 19 Pally whom I don't play anymore named Naraht. |

10:51 pmNew to the comm', new to the game. Received it as a birthday present (I wonder how many girls ask for WoW for their 'sweet sixteen'?), and have been playing since, when I'm not letting my brother make use of my account.Still embarassingly low level, as I've had more fun running along roads discovering new places than I'd expect and it takes up quite a bit of time to run from the Undercity to Thunder Bluff.Tauren Hunter, level 12, and an Undead Rogue, level 11. I'm a Horde player, thanks to a friend who also plays.So yes, enough of the pointless intro. *tips hat* Current Mood:  amused |

10:28 pm - Immersion in Virtual WorldsInteresting video of an extremely rare happening/glitch.. This shows a raiding party pulling a Kazzak into one of the capital cities. As you know, Stormwind is a safe place, where you go to rest, to repair your armour, check mail, buy new stuff, learn new talents, talk to friends, whatever - it's a safe home area. I would have loved to see something like this. It would feel very similar to a disaster in real life, I would imagine - there you are, going to the post office, when all hell breaks loose and people are dying all around you. Incredible. It's happened once on our realm, and once with one of the huge dragons. One of the GMs has to go in and pull him back out to where he's supposed to be, and reset the server. This immersion, the feel of feeling like "real life" is one of the things that I find most fascinating about gameworlds of this type. I first felt it when I took my night elf character from her violet, elvish home area to the snowy mountain region which is home to the dwarves. I felt very foreign, very out-of-place. Interesting. And now they're introducing weather into the game...snowstorms, rain, dust storms in the desert areas that make it difficult to see. We've downloaded that patch, and are looking forward to seeing it tonight. I would bet that, when I'm trudging through the snow in the high mountains, with snow falling all around, I will feel as though I need a sweater.I love it.(cross-posted from my personal journal) |

**11:45 am - Welcome!**I haven't had a chance to do much work on the layout for this community yet, but I will. (I'm an ecommerce web developer by rl trade, so hopefully I should do a decent job.) I've been thinking that it would be nice to have a community for players on our realm, and no one had created one yet...and ta-daaaa, here we are. ;) |
