War for Oil, not for Freedom US Captures many Oilfields

I'm sorry, wasn't the US trying to capture or kill the leaders of the Iraqi regime? When exactly did the oilfields become a danger to our homeland security?

Also, it is sad that of our first two deaths in this war, one of them was a marine securing an oil pumping station. More info can be found in this article, from which I also quote,

"One military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said U.S. Navy SEAL commandos took control of two terminals in the Persian Gulf where Iraqi oil can be loaded onto huge tanker ships. At least one of the terminals contained explosives that had not yet been wired for detonation, the official said."

This war is not for the liberation of the Iraqi people, or for the protection of our own. This war is about liberating the one real exportable commodity that a poor nation commands.

Our nation is run by thieves. And I'm disgusted that they're getting away with it when their blatancy is so obvious.

I won't get into how my ideal has been betrayed by my country, but I'm working up some good, righteous anger. And then we'll talk about what we can do.
