Welcome to 
wrecked_fic, the fanfiction recommendation community that aims to ruin you for other fic. Or at least that's the idea.
Fic, fic, and more fic. Slash fic, het fic, the occasional gen fic. Something nice and fluffy, or perhaps a gut-wrenching angstfest. Stargate, Firefly, West Wing, or maybe even a little Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Everyone finds stories they like, but few people keep a good list of these fics, and even fewer have their recommendations up for others to peruse. This was certainly the case for us, so we decided to finally do something about it.
wrecked_fic was established so that a group of friends could share their recommendations with one another (or anyone who happened to want a look, too) and also so that these recs could be easily referenced later. Because there's no "theme" to this community (well, barring perhaps "good fic") we have no guidelines for content or fandom. Members are welcome to rec anything – any fandom, any pairing, any length, any category, etcetera. Expect some variety.
Everyone is welcome to comment on any posts made. Loved the fic? Hated it? Let everyone know. Reccers should be ready to defend their choices.

Membership:
Due to the nature of the group, membership (i.e. posting access) is closed. Watching the community, however, is encouraged – please feel free to add this community to your friends list. If you're looking to rec your own fics, there are a number of other communities out there we can happily steer you towards.
Format:
The format we follow is very simple. One fanfiction rec per post in the following format:
Subject Line: "Title of Fic" by Author (Rating)
Title: link to fic
Author: link to author's site or LJ
Rating: we follow the MPAA rating systemCategory: Het, Slash, Gen, etc.
Fandom: well, it had to come from somewhere.
Pairing: no abbreviations, please.Author's Summary: what the author has provided, if one is available.
Reccer's Notes: so we know why you liked it!

Spoilers:
This is a rec community, and as such has no conversational posts and therefore not much need for obvious spoiler warnings. However, fic may be recced that includes spoilers. No spoiler warnings are required, but we will try to include warnings for non-common-knowledge information. If the book has been out for at least a month and the episodes aired more than a week ago, we expect you're familiar with what happens.

Everything posted first goes through the goat (commodoremarie) to make sure the formatting is correct. She also tries to save off all fic, so if links for something aren't working, let her know and she can probably fix them or get you what you're looking for.
