here it comes, counting down to NaNoWriMo 2008! are you getting your notes together, drawing up characters, looking up the babynames sites and outlining plot yet?

my writing partner nudged me in that direction today. so far i've gotten alot of prep done. that's not my usual style, but then, my usual style is a much shorter project than nanowrimo. i'm pleased with what i got done today. i have a better grasp on the novel's plot and characters now. mind you, i'm glad it's not october 31st yet! it's going to take me a little more time to wrap my head around the project before november 1st hits.

where are you on your prep? does your usual style in approaching a project translate well to preparing for nanowrimo?

I've tried to nano in the past and something has always happened. For example, I got violently sick one year, completely blew it. I'm determined to make it this year!

I write in a variety of genres, many of which are not for general public consumption. Very small audience. Won't be posted here and won't be the genre I write for nano. I haven't decided yet which of the ideas I've been noodling to choose, though. Anything from a contemporary fantasy to an outright bodice ripper!

I once wrote prolifically, now... not so much. I'm hoping to be inspired here and now, well before nano gets under way. Thus... wrimos_unite!
