It's been years since I visited the
writing_witches and I wanted to show you how far I've come. If I hadn't stumbled in here almost seven years ago, on calanor's urging, I might not have written the following piece of fic.
Even though people have come and gone, I was lucky enough to be influenced and encouraged by you all. Thank you for making this possible for me.

A/N: Written for Littleisle, who set me a challenge. There was so much to choose from. But, I think I settled on something that will intrigue you. Many thanks to Snupin Santa and the elves for your encouragement and extension. This monster wouldn't be tamed right up until the end.

Writers are encouraged to write fic of any length over the minimum 2000 words, with any permutation of Harry, Draco, and Severus. So, gen fic about any two or three of them, or erotic fic about any two or three of them.
You can use, or ignore, Beltane as a theme. It is intended to inspire the timetable, not necessarily the fiction. Although Beltane inspired fiction would be just delightful. :)

Fic exchange! Sign-up deadline is February 1. Assignments will be emailed by February 15, and the fiction will be due May 1, Beltane.
The exchange will be limited to 62 participants.

Hello all.
In the interest of having you laugh...which I don't do that much now that I'm validating fics...please go see this little bit of G-rated art...it will make you chuckle...really!
Somehow, last year, I discovered fan fiction (The Phantom of the Opera) which led to Harry Potter (originally Draco/Hermione or Blaise/Hermione) then on to slash...now, I'm helping out on a site...But, I haven't had a good chance to work on most of my own stories...Drat!
How do you all do it? How do you juggle everything and still produce such cool pieces? GAH!

On 15 June, I turn 40. For my birthday, I would like something special. Namely, a variety of fictions to titilate the senses, ensnare the hormones, and just plain make us all shout hallelujah and pass the spiked punch for libidinous authors...
Your challenge, should you accept it...
A threesome (this could be three witches, wizards, magical creatures, and/or ghosts of your choice) that would only happen under the influence of the full moon and a botched aphrodisiac.
Beta'd, please...if you've ever seen my reviews you know I do it if the author didn't... Length would ideally be between 500 and 1000 words, the more, the happier I'll be.
There should be a character based on one of your fellow Writing Witches, even in passing.
Must include the following: mud pies, St. John's Wort, 70% cocoa, "If wishes were horses, beggars would be riding centaurs every day!"
Due by 15 June 2006.
I hope this would be something that gooses the quirky, soothes the ridiculous, and tantalizes the rest?
If you feel that this might interest others, please, pimp it as you see fit. If this posting is not within the scope of the community, please let me know, and I'll remove it.

My computer doesn't work right...it will have to go away later today. For a while.
Some (irresponsible) authors think it's good fun to rip-off other people's words and songs...Plagiarists!
In a combination of all things ridiculous, I find my head exploding every time a tree has blossoms, or the damned wind blows all the way from Texas! (My apologies to those Texans amongst us...it's the pollen, not you!)
I finally won a battle with Eros & Sappho...all those years of Liberal Arts classes, and all those reference books finally came in handy. But, I'm tempted to tell them that writing a dissertation is nothing like writing fiction. Just because it has rules, doesn't mean language, grammar, and punctuation are rigidly set. There are permutations that need to be looked; dialect, pacing, formality, etc. are part and parcel of a story. Ah, that helps the headache a bit...
Why do teeny-bopper authors (sorry, that's just the feel I get, and I'm not lumping those that can actually craft grand adventures in there with the twits) persist in always putting Harry and/or Draco in fishnet shirts and cargo pants (one example), and yet, they put them into the canon fifth year timeline?
Setting my sights low and my expectations even lower...what does that say about me?

Hello all.
I've been bitten by a Sirius Black/Severus Snape bug...bunny...whatever! I'm trying to find out more about Sirius' tattoos in the movie. Does anyone know of essays or sites that I'm look at for some more education?
