Global education is a part of civic education and upbringing that contributes to their scope thro... more Global education is a part of civic education and upbringing that contributes to their scope through the better understanding of various phenomena and global interdependencies that it affords. It thus represents a response to globalisation processes that has as its goal the development of critical thinking skills in schoolchildren from an early age, with a view to stereotypes and prejudices being combated, human life and human dignity being shown values, and emphasis placed on equality, peace, tolerance, solidarity and equity. The paper considers the reasons for including axiological refl ection in school education programmes encompassing matters that are global in nature. Also presented are methods by which to achieve postulates of global education at the primary-school teaching level, as well as the results of research into the level of knowledge on key aspects of this education that are present among primary-school teachers.

Civilizational threats considered from ecological, economic and social aspects are the rudimentar... more Civilizational threats considered from ecological, economic and social aspects are the rudimentary reference point for theoretical studies on sustainable development. Manifold concepts and interpretations of the risk issue were converted into proposals for solutions that are primarily reflected in strategic documents on sustainable development and programs related to security. Mutual interactions, or even interpenetration of some threats on other may affect the efficiency of implementing preventive and corrective programs. Consequently, scientists point to the need of adopting more systemic solutions whose implementation requires a specific policy and properly selected tools of its realization. The key initiator and promoter of sustainable development is the United Nations. The objectives and directions of activities indicated by that organization and including prevention of such threats as poverty, hunger and environmental degradation, were proposed in the United Nations Millennium Declaration. The 15 years of implementing the document's resolutions concluded in the preparation of a report summarizing the project, i.e. The Millennium Development Goals Report 2015. The present paper outlines the issue of threats in the context of international striving for security and reduction of global, primarily social, problems. It provides an evaluation of the ways in which the UN policy is conducted as well as practical realization of this policy, at the example of the Millennium Declaration. The conducted analysis allowed to define the future prospects for the implementation of this policy, especially with respect to preventing social threats.

They have a negative impact on the economic development of countries and people's lives, threaten the economic stability and security. Counteracting them is one of the greatest challenges of the twenty-first century. Effective climate protection requires an international agreement, concerted action by all countries of the world. This article will address the issue of the climate crisis as a bioethical problem and presented the main assumptions of the climate agreement in Paris, which can contribute to averting the climate crisis.
Streszczenie Zmiany klimatyczne dotykają wszystkich państw na każdym kontynencie. Wpły-wają negatywnie na rozwój gospodarczy krajów oraz życie ludzi, zagrażają stabilizacji ekonomicznej i bezpieczeństwu. Przeciwdziałanie im należy do jednych z najwięk-szych wyzwań XXI w. Skuteczna ochrona klimatu wymaga międzynarodowego po-rozumienia, podjęcia wspólnych działań przez wszystkie państwa świata. W artykule zostanie poruszona kwestia kryzysu klimatycznego jako problemu bioetycznego oraz przedstawione zostaną główne założenia porozumienia klimatycznego z Paryża, które może przyczynić się do zażegnania kryzysu klimatycznego.

a link between arguments of selected stances and inter alia economics and ecology. The human population explosion has been recognised by the authors as one of the major causes of the deepening crisis in the natural environmental balance.

It was considered by the Secretary-General of United Nations Ban Ki - monn as a key challenge faced by humanity in times of peace. It is because the aftereffects of the activities of certain countries have or will have a number of consequences for the life and health of people around the world. Climate change exacerbates global inequality and conditions of survival. The consequences of these changes expose numerous geopolitical implications.
They will be associated with flooding of lowland areas, the threat of deprivation of areas of important economic and political importance as well as endangering sovereignty of nations.

In the process of lifelong learning fits also widely understood environmental education, the implementation of which have a significant impact on environmental awareness. Accomplishment of environmental education has a significant influence on shaping an environmental awareness. Such oriented education aims to create individual and social attitudes, behaviors or pro-environmental actions, thus increasing the chance to counteract of real threats to the social and natural environment. The article shows the importance of environmental education in the process of building social awareness, including the perspective of learning throughout life.

They have a negative impact on the economic development of countries and people's lives, threaten the economic stability and security. Skuteczna ochrona klimatu wymaga międzynarodowego po-rozumienia, podjęcia wspólnych działań przez wszystkie państwa świata. W artykule zostanie poruszona kwestia kryzysu klimatycznego jako problemu bioetycznego oraz przedstawione zostaną główne założenia porozumienia klimatycznego z Paryża, które może przyczynić się do zażegnania kryzysu klimatycznego.
