Michal Ordak | Medical University of Warsaw (original) (raw)
This is dr Michal Ordak, assistant professor at the Medical University of Warsaw, international biostatistician. For many years, I have been helping scientists understand the most common mistakes they make in conducting statistical analysis. Among other things, I am a statistical editor and reviewer for a number of journals (e.g. Allergy, Current Research in Translational Medicine, etc.). For over a year I have been reviewing articles for the Global Burden of Disease in terms of the statistical correctness. Unfortunately, only 40% of accepted manuscript are statistically correct. My motto is: "Statistical Science for a Better World”. I have recently become the Chairman of the newly formed Statistics Working Group of WAME (World Association of Medical Editors). I publish various statistical recommendations for authors and members of editorial boards. You can find them in the PubMed database. The aim is to improve the quality of published research results.
