Due to not being an official member of FIFA, Martinique are ineligible for FIFA World Cup. For FIFA competitions citizens are eligible to represent France.
Les Matinino are however a member of CONCACAF. They have qualified to participate in a number of CONCACAF Gold Cups. Their best result came in 2002 when they reached the quarter-finals.
Martinique's biggest success was perhaps in 1993 when they claimed the Caribbean Cup. After a goalless contest with hosts Jamaica, Martinique won 6 - 5 on penalties.
