One of AAAS's strategic goals is to build trust between scientists and engineers and broader communities across the nation. To this end, at the heart of many of our programs is thoughtful, highly contextualized engagement outside the sciences. See below for some of our programs who foster engagement between the sciences and other key communities.

Mass Media Fellowships

MMF places STEM students at media organizations nationwide, giving them experience in science communication and bringing accurate science stories to the public.

Building on AAAS's long-standing commitment to relate scientific knowledge and technological development to the purposes and concerns of society at large, DoSER facilitates meaningful communication between the scientific and religious communities.
