The current study aimed at identifying the level of ambition among a sample of women who were divorced before marriage consummation and its relation to the level of optimism among them. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a sample of divorced women who did not consummate the marriage was selected from Ramallah and al Bireh governorate, Palestine. The sample included 87 divorced women. Two measures were used in the study, the measure of ambition and the measure of optimism. Their psychometric properties were verified. The results of the study indicated an average level of ambition and optimism among divorced women, and a positive correlation between ambition and optimism. Based on the results of the study, a number of recommendations were made, including enhancing the levels of ambition and optimism among divorced women through extension programs.

The study aims to build a standardized Premarital scale to identify the personality, social, economic, and physical characteristics of the future couples, with the aim of providing a premarital counseling service in a manner that is appropriate for them and find out the psychometric properties of it. The study followed the descriptive analytical method. The scale was applied to a sample of (100) hundred individuals (45 males and 55 females) who were randomly selected. The sample age ranged from 15 to 50 years. The results of the study found that the "premarital scale" that was built has good psychometric properties in terms of validity and consistency necessary to apply it to those who are going to marry in Medina, in order to provide a "premarital counseling" service for them that is appropriate to their personality traits, social, economic, and physical characteristics. Sexual Function and Marital Satisfaction in Female with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Background: Considering the high prevalence of sexual dysfunction in females with OCD and its impact on marital satisfaction, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual function and marital satisfaction in a group of female OCD patients. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 36 females with OCD, referred to the clinic of Roozbeh Psychiatric Hospital (related to Tehran University of Medical Sciences) and 3 private offices in Tehran, were selected by random sampling and completed questionnaires including: demographic FSFI, BDI-II, MOCI, OCI-R and researcher-developed marital satisfaction questionnaire. Results: 80.6% of women reported sexual dysfunction. Pre-marital pregnancy, fornication, and free mixing between different genders are among the problems faced by Muslim youth nowadays. This paper aims to discuss the personality preparation guidelines in facing sexual activities based on the Story of Prophet Yusuf in al-Qur’an al-Karim as well as selected prophet’s narration in Hadith. The descriptive analysis shows that Qur’an and selected Hadith prepare four dimensions of guidelines which are: spiritual strength, mental strength, emotional strength as well as physical strength. The findings reveal that in terms of spirituality aspect, Muslim youth should be fully conscious of the existence of Allah and think of the bounty divine given by Allah. Introduction: Measuring tools in each study must be evaluated themselves. The goal of present study was designing, validating, and determining the reliability of some scales, which are used for measuring concepts of behavior change theory/models. Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive one in which, at first literature review and need assessment were done. Then designed tools were validated by face and content method. For reliability of scales 3 methods were done: 1) test-retest method for knowledge questionnaire, 2) internal consistency method for attitudinal scales, and 3) a greement method for checklists . Results: Validity of tools was confirmed by 15 experts, and reliability coefficients (r, alpha, and kappa) for all scales of this study were high and acceptable.
