The analysis explores the significance of thermal radiation on mixed convective boundary layer flow of a hybrid (SiO 2-MoS 2 /H 2 O) nanofluid. The permeability of the stretched/shrinking surface is allowing the wall fluid suction, whereas radiation phenomenon is also incorporated in the presence of thermal convection. The combination of SiO 2 nanoparticles and MoS 2 /H 2 O nanofluid are being modeled using the analytical nanofluid hybrid model in the present work. The hybrid nanofluid governing equations are transformed utilizing the similarity transformation technique. The transformed boundary value problem, then solved by bvp4c technique in MATLAB software. For specified values of various parameters the numerical results are obtained. The findings indicate dual solutions, up to some amount of stretching/shrinking parameter. The suction parameter decelerates the friction factor and accelerates the heat transfer rate. Also, the temperature augments due to the radiation and nanoparticles volume fraction in both solutions, whereas the velocity declines due to nanoparticles volume fraction.
Water, 2020
In this work, water is captured as regular fluid with suspension of two types of hybrid nanoparticles, namely molybdenumdisulfide (MoS2) and graphene oxide (GO). The impact of Lorentz’s forces on mixed convective boundary-layer flow (BLF) is studied through an upright cylinder under the influences of thermal radiation. The shape factor is also assessed. The mathematical model for hybrid nanofluidis developed and, by implementing suitable similarity variables, the leading partial differential equations (PDEs) are altered into a non-linear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) system and then resolved through a bvp4c solver. The penetrations of varied parameters, such as thermal radiation, nanomaterials shapes (bricks, platelets, bricks and cylinders), magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD), and ratio parameters on the temperature and fluid velocity, along with the skin friction and the Nusselt number, are typified qualitatively via sketches. The opposing flow, as well as the assisting flow, is...
Mathematical Problems in Engineering
The present mathematical model discloses the effects of Boussinesq and Rosseland approximations on unsteady 3D dynamics of water-driven hybridized nanomaterial with the movements of nanoplatelets (molybdenum disulfide, MoS 2 and graphene oxide, GO ). Variable thermal conditions, namely, VST (variable surface temperature) and VHF (variable heat flux), are opted to provide temperature to the surface. MHD effects have also been used additionally to make the study more versatile. In order to transmute the transportation equations into nondimensionlized forms, similarity transformations have been adopted. The Keller-Box technique has been applied to obtain a numerical simulation of the modeled problem. The convergence of the solution for both VST and VHF cases is presented via the grid independence tactic. Thermal setup against escalating choices of power indices and nonlinear thermal radiation parameter is discussed via graphical illustrations. The rate of heat transaction has been disc...
The radiative flow of the thin-film Maxwell hybrid nanofluids on an inclined plane in a porous space
Frontiers in Energy Research, 2022
Due to their accelerated rate of heat transfer, nanofluids are of immense interest. This work analyzes an innovative concept of hybrid nanoemulsion with an optimized design under the chemical radiative flow and its thermophysical properties. We are able to achieve great aspects of the flow with the assistance of the sheet's permeable texture and inclined surface. Furthermore, the effects of thermal conductivity mix convection, chemical reaction, and thermal radiations on velocity, temperature, and concentration fields are also investigated. After converting the fundamental equations to ordinary differential equations with the use of similarity transportation, the problem is then solved analytically with the HAM technique. To investigate key attributes and parameters, a hybrid nanofluid with Ag and Al2O3 nanoparticles as well as Al2O3 for conventional nanofluids with the base solvent water is taken. To illustrate the effects of chemical radiative and mix convection on the thin-film flow, numerous graphs, charts, and tables are shown. Calculations and reviews are performed for reduced friction coefficient, heat, and mass transportation. According to this study, hybrid nanofluids have a higher heat-transfer rate than nanofluids when exposed to thermal radiation and at the appropriate surface angle of inclination. Due to phi A l 2 O 3 , phi A g , S , R d , the temperature increases, but velocity has the opposite effect. This investigation's innovative findings will promote the study of condensed nanostructures and nanomaterials.

The heat transport and entropy formation of an unsteady Sutterby hybrid nanofluid (SBHNF) are investigated in this work. SBHNF’s flowing and thermal transport properties are investigated by exposing the nanofluid to a slippery hot surface. This analysis includes the influences of solid-shaped nanoparticles, porous materials, radiative flux, and viscous dissipative flow. The Galerkin finite element technique (G-FEM) is used to find self-similar solutions to equations that are then transformed into ODEs using appropriate transformations. This research considers two diverse kinds of nanosolid-particles, copper (Cu) and graphene oxide (GO), using non-Newtonian engine-oil (EO) as the working fluid. In the flowing, energy, skin friction, Nusselt number, and entropy production, important findings for the various variables are visually depicted. The most notable finding of the analysis is that when SBHNF (GO–Cu/EO) is compared to a typical nanofluid (Cu–EO), the thermal transmission rate of...

The hydrothermal characteristics of (Ag+TiO2+H2O) hybrid nanofluid three dimensional flow between two vertical plates, in which the right permeable plate stretches as well as rotates, are investigated by employing varying magnetic, heat and radiation fluxes. The motion is governed by coupled PDEs (nonlinear) obeying suitable boundary conditions. The PDEs coupled system is transformed to a coupled set of nonlinear ODEs employing appropriate similarity transformation relations. The resultant equations are numerically solved through the bv4c solver. The impact of the changing strength of associated parameters on the flow is investigated graphically and through tables. It has been found that the velocity gradient and velocity initially increase and then decrease with increasing Grashof number values in both the suction and injection cases. The enhancing magnetic field first augments and then lowers the velocity gradient in the presence of radiation source of maximum strength. The increa...
Radiative Mixed Convection Flow Over a Moving Needle Saturated with Non-Isothermal Hybrid Nanofluid
Journal of Advanced Research in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences, 2021
A steady incompressible boundary layer flow and heat transfer past on a moving thin needle saturated with hybrid nanofluid are investigated with the effects of solar radiation and viscous dissipation. The simulation is also influenced by the effects of thermophoresis and Brownian motion. We consider (Al2O3-Cu-water) as a hybrid nanofluid, where water is the base fluid and alumina and copper are the hybrid nanoparticles. By utilizing the technique of similarity transformations, we transformed the dimensional partial differential equations into dimensionless ordinary differential equations. Using the MAPLE software scheme, the transformed equations have been solved numerically. The graphical representation of different parameters including Mixed convection, Power-law exponent, Buoyancy ratio parameter, Eckert number are illustrated on velocity, temperature, the concentration of nanoparticles profiles and explained in detail. Skin friction coefficient, heat transfer rate, and mass tran...
Waves in Random and Complex Media, 2022
The main interest of the current research study is, on the one hand, to increase heat transfer of the base and mixture fluids by using hybrid nanoparticles. By considering two types of boundary conditions such as insulated and convective tips, to explore numerically and analytically the simultaneous impacts of the thermal radiative and free convective flow of hybrid nanofluid via a moving porous longitudinal fin. This investigation employs Darcy’s model and the mixture base fluid H2O (50%)–C2H6O2 (50%). The governing equations have been solved by utilizing Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg 4th–5th order technique (RKFT45) with shooting-scheme and analytically via Duan–Rach Approach (DRA). It is found that the nondimensional temperature θ(η) is a decreasing function of a wet porous number m2 and convective parameter Nc for both insulated and convective tips, and as an increasing function of ambient temperature θa, Peclet number Pe and power index n. It is also found that the thermal profile θ(η) presents a decrease for all considered shape factors in the cases of insulated and convective tips boundary conditions. Computational results and those obtainable in the previous works have been used to verify and strengthen the results gained by the analyticalDRA technique
Mathematical Problems in Engineering, 2013
We investigate the effects of thermal radiation and convective boundary conditions on heat and mass transfer in nanofluid flow over a permeable flat plate. The mathematical model for the nanofluid incorporates variations in the nanoparticle volume fraction of up to 20%. The performance of two water-based nanofluids, namely, stable suspensions of copper and gold nanoparticles in water was investigated. The governing partial differential equations were transformed into ordinary ones using a similarity transformation and solved numerically. The numerical results were validated by comparison with previously published results in the literature. The main focus of this paper is to study the fluid and surface parameters such as the radiation parameter, and suction/injection parameter, solute concentration profiles, as well as the skin friction coefficient and heat and mass transfer rates were conducted.

This paper studies MHD flow and radiation heat transfer of nanofluids against a flat plate in porous medium with the effects of variable surface heat flux and first-order chemical reaction. Three types of nanoparticles 2 3 , Cu Al O and Ag are investigated. Similarity transformations are applied to reduce the governing partial differential equations with boundary conditions into a system of ordinary differential equations over a semi-infinite interval. An efficient analytical approach based on differential transformation base functions method (DTM-BF) for unbounded domains is performed to give approximate solutions which are verified by numerical ones, showing close agreement. The effects of the solid volume fraction, types of nanoparticles, permeability, magnetic field, chemical reaction, Schmidt number, radiation and suction/blowing on velocity, temperature and concentration fields are graphically illustrated and analyzed in detail.
