Abstract

The recently released Global Feed Survey by Alltech, shows that the global production of compound feed has increased to over one billion tons. This increase is associated with a 7% decrease in the number of feed mills globally. According to the Alltech report, the overall combination of increased production from a decreased number of mills, reflects the continued consolidation of agricultural production, despite continued growth in animal protein consumption.
