In this study, the preferences of the instructors who teach Turkish to foreigners to use measurement and evaluation tools were investigated. In the research, in which case study, one of the qualitative research methods, has been used, the opinions of ten instructors who teach Turkish to foreigners have been consulted. The obtained data were analyzed in the Maxqda program according to the descriptive analysis technique. In the research, it was determined that the instructors mostly preferred written exams, questions with matching items and performance assignments; and it has been seen that this is due to the fact that it provides students with the opportunity to use original and various languages. In addition, it has been determined that they prefer to use shortanswer and multiple-choice exams, self-assessment form, word association and concept maps tools, since they provide more opportunity to ask questions and are easily applicable in crowded classrooms. However, it has been determined that the instructors do not prefer to use group assessment, peer assessment, attitude scale and structured grid tools, which are among the alternative assessment and assessment tools, and the reason for this is characterized as low reliability, questionable objectivity and taking time to prepare.
