Abstract

Kyiv Graphic School belongs to one of the country's most powerful and prominent artistic centers and is marked by a variety of prominent names, many of which remained in the shadow of art studies. Kyiv Graphic School was formed mainly on the basis of Kyiv State Art Institute, where students had the opportunity to master the lithographic technique, taught by experienced teachers. In the 1980s, the students in the workshop of book graphics under the direction of the Professors V. I. Kasiian, V. Y. Chebanyk and the Assistant Professor G. I. Galynska, who brought up a series of famous Ukrainian graphic artists, selected works of Ukrainian and Russian classic authors, illustrated Soviet and foreign literature, showing their professional maturity and creative individuality The work of Kyiv graphic artists, who worked in book graphics in the 1970-1980s in flat-printing techniques, has been considered.
