This article shows the results ofthe research "State of art in methodology of legal research, 1999-2003". It begins with the idea that research is a present concern at all Law Schools and that research process presuppose the existence of an epistemic environment, a methodology to study the methods propose to each knowledge and some techniques or tools that support theories or knowledge construction. lt observed the treatrnent gave to two categories: law as anobjectofstudy and theways to getto law knowledge.
