Cryogenic Detectors: Status and Prospects (original) (raw)
XXIV International Conference on High Energy Physics, 1989
Abstract
The present status of cryogenic detector developments for particle physics is discussed, with emphasis on applications at the cross-disciplinary frontier between particle physics and astrophysics, where low temperature devices appear to be particularly well suited. The critical overview of to-date results is completed by a sketch of new ideas and possible ways for further improvements.
