Two-phase pipe flow (original) (raw)

1983

Abstract

In this article some industrial processes involving gas-liquid flow, and some related problems are reviewed, as well as several theoretical models for two-phase pipe flow. The development of such models requires a knowledge of the physical mechanisms involved. Frequently, these mechanisms are not well understood, as discussed in the part of this article which analyzes flooding in a vertical pipe. Two measuring techniques are described and some research topics are proposed.
