Maximum Magnetoelectric Susceptibility in Composite Magnetostrictive Piezotransformers Controlled by a Magnetic Field (original) (raw)
One important problem of modern physics in recent times has been the effective transformation of an electric field into a magnetic one (and vice versa) with the help of elastic interactions . This effect can be used in devices of nondestructive control, elec tromagnetic devices without a core, piezomagneto electric sensors, detectors of magnetic field, etc. A new possibility in obtaining significant magnetoelec tric (ME) susceptibility using the piezotransformers is discussed in . The inverse ME effect in the piezotransformers is also being studied in detail . An ordinary piezotransformer was thoroughly described in the literature as well . Using the method of equivalent schemes, analysis of a hybrid layered magnetic piezostructure was examined in [3]. However, this analysis has concerned only the voltage amplification, while the ME susceptibility was not described. As well, the device [3] considerably differs from the analogous one that is described in this work and in . Unlike the device described in [5], the ME piezotransformer is characterized by the absence of an output amplifying section.
