Objective. The present work shows the relationships among education, culture of peace and the plastic arts, from the perceptions of the students of secondary education in the afternoon, in the school Nueva Delhi. There was a reflective process that was developed on different manifestations of violence and construction of a culture of peace with the group of students who were part of this work. The research process was addressed based on the framework of the Cathedra of Peace, the positioning, the investigation and characterization of problems derived from the awareness of situations related to violence, focused on making visible gender aspects through symbolic representations. Methodology. The selected methodological approach was the qualitative research; this was considered a useful paradigm that contributed to the investigation, because it showed a look related to the study of reality, in this case the school reality, its relationship among education, the construction of the culture of peace and the plastic arts. Results. The practical experience allowed to understand and analyze in the educational field, the contributions and limitations of the plastic arts as a didactic strategy for the strengthening in the construction of culture of peace and revealed that it can not only contribute to improve attitudes and behaviors against the conflict management;but also it becomes a means of free expression of feelings, communication and dissemination of the voices of young people, who belong to a generation in post-conflict times at the national level, to a community in conditions of vulnerability at the local level, due to emerging conditions in the environment of peace movements all around the world. Originality. The plastic development materializes in an installation of artistic character, where objects constructed by the students are exhibited; taking into account that these students are the ones who participate and contribute recognizing and transforming the conflicting actions that are translated in some type of violence.
