Abstract

PARKINSON’S DISEASE (PD) RESULTS IN MOTOR AND NONMOTOR SYMPTOMS THAT LEAD TO DECREASED MOBILITY AND REDUCED QUALITY OF LIFE. EXERCISE IS AN EFFECTIVE METHOD FOR DISEASE MANAGEMENT AND IMPROVED FITNESS IN PERSONSWITH PD. THIS COLUMN WILL FOCUS ON THE PATHOPHYSIOLOGY, EPIDEMIOLOGY, TREATMENT, AND EXERCISE GOALS FOR PERSONS WITH PD.
