This is an action research on how to teach reflection among trainee teachers. It tells how I tried various ways to help increase the reflective abilities of my trainees. Among the methods I used were to teach the different types of reflections explicitly especially the higher order type of reflections, getting the trainees to consistently write reflections on their learning experiences and categorize their own reflections and giving specific feedback to the trainees on their reflections. From their own reflections and response to my probing questions, the trainees seem to gain confidence and clarity on the task of reflection after having gone through the practice with me during the semester.
