Employee Empowerment: A Comparative Study among Different Theories

In today society, running the affairs depends on organizations. Through their radical functions in the fields of discipline, needs satisfaction, dynamism and social progress, organizations play a vital role in the continuing lifecycle of societies. Obviously, their performance quality is too important. Organizational performance is influenced by their human capital quality aspects (i.e. knowledge, capability, motivation). Thus, empowerment has far distance from organization traditional concept. Today organizations need certain characteristics such as transparency and constant improvement to continue their life and to achieve such characteristics they should empower their human force as their most important resource and competitive advantage. To this end, the author has provided requirements, processes and advantages of empowerment of employees here and looks for studying different empowerment models and showing their weaknesses and strengths. Therefore, it is necessary to address knowledge development, capability and motivation of human forces in order to develop organizational human capital and, consequently, its performance improvement. The author has determined superior empowerment components.

Process of Employee Empowerment : Concepts and Dimensions

Employee empowerment is one of the most effective techniques to increase employee productivity and optimal use of capacities and capabilities of individual and group in line with organizational objectives. Empowerment is a process that helps to improve continuous performance of people and teams by development and expand their authority and ability. In other words, an empowerment is strategy of organizational development and prosperity. In this paper by a practical approach to concept of employees empowerment is explained its dimensions of the structural and behavioral. Historical background, definitions, factors and dimensions of empowerment are issues that dealt with this paper.

Effect of Empowerment on Employees Performance

The main purpose of this paper is to determining the effect of Empowerment implementation by considering the three factors of delegation, implementation of participating management, encouragement and giving reward and also determination of classification of priority and importance of effect of each factor with employee " s performance improvement in Telecommunication Company. The research method has been descriptive and causal comparative and statistical sample under study was 226 people in order to collected data, two questionnaires and existing documents about rate of employee performance were used in two periods of time before and after Empowerment implementation. The tools validity with Content method and their Reliability by Cornbach method coefficients 0.98, 0.95 has been confirmed. In order to analyze the data, Spearman correlation method, Wilcoxon tests method, and multiple regressions, were used. Findings showed that there is significant difference between rate of employee " s performance before and after Empowerment implementing, by the way Empowerment implementing emphasizing the factors, delegation, participating management and encouragement and giving reward cause employee " s performance to improve.

Testing the Relationship of Employee Empowerment and Organisational Performance

The research aimed to test the new measures of employee empowerment in a collectively social oriented society. The study applied questionnaire-based survey to obtain data and test the relationship between employee empowerment and organisational performance. A total of 80 completed questionnaires from the senior HR personnel from 40 organisations in the Gambia took part in the survey. Ten employees were engaged in a face-to-face interview, 2 private and 8 public organisations from among the 40 organisations that participated. Both SPSS and SmartPLS were utilised to analyse data. MGA is used to determine the difference private and public organisations. The study has indicated a significant relationship between employee empowerment and organisational performance. The success of any organization depends on availability of committed human resources. Besides providing satisfaction on advanced concept in the current day human resource management discipline to increase the commitment, dedication, morale, belongingness positive attitude towards organization and innovation in the task performance and acceptance to any kind of change in empowerment. Empowerment of employees is the responsibility of top-level management. The major objectives of this study are to find out degree of empowerment existing in the organization and to analyze the role of management in promoting employee empowerment in the organization. It mainly deals with the employee's satisfactory level towards empowerment in the present organization, and how harmony presents in the organization.

Empirical Study on the Dimensions of Employee Empowerment

I. INTRODUCTION Employee empowerment is giving employees a certain degree of autonomy and responsibility for decisionmaking regarding their specific organizational tasks. It allows decisions to be made at the lower levels of an organization where employees have a unique view of the issues and problems facing the organization at a certain level. Employee empowerment is creating a working environment where an employee is allowed to make his own decision in specific work related situations. Employee empowerment results in increased employee satisfaction, increased productivity and increased customer satisfaction.

The Role of Employee's Empowerment Strategy in Improving Organization's Effectiveness

This study aims at identifying the role of the application of employees' empowerment strategy in improving organization's effectiveness through a case study of coca-Cola Bottling Company of Jordan. By using stratified random sample consists of 50 employees who represent the operational and financial and managerial departments in the company, and through analyzing their answers to the questionnaire questions. The findings of this study were as follows:-There is a high role of empowerment to improve Coca-Cola employees' performance.-There is a role of empowerment to improve Coca-Cola products quality.-There is no role for empowerment to improve Coca-Cola return on investment (ROI).-There is a role of empowerment to improve Coca-Cola market share.

Employee Empowerment and Its Influence on Employee Performance: A Case of Hazara University

The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of employee empowerment on the performance of faculty members at Hazara University. In this regard survey approach was used and data was collected through self-administered questionnaires. Out of total population of 490 faculty members, 450 were selected as a sample and questionnaires were distributed among them out of which 360 were received back. The findings of the study revealed that trust, reward and communication have a statistically significant and positive effect on employee performance. Additionally, knowledge has a negative relationship with employee performance but it is statistically in significant.

Job performance/JP/ is the direct and indirect contribution of an individual towards the organizational goals and objectives and can be achieved by employee empowerment. The main purpose of this study was to explore the effect of employee empowerment on their job performance. The research has been designed as a descriptive study. Both primary and secondary data were used in the research. A survey questionnaire with five point Likert scale was a main tool for gathering primary data about employee empowerment effect on job performance. A total of 373 (15% of the population) participants in the various offices of the BPOs and KPOs who participated in filling the questionnaires.
