The aim of this study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Intimate Violence Responsibility Scale (IVRS; Yun & Vonk, 2011). The sample of this study consisted of 548 high school students. The results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the twenty items loaded on four factors (minimization, violence recognition, partner blaming, and distal blaming) and the four-dimensional model was well fit (x2=498.81, df=158, p=0.00000, RMSEA=.063, CFI=.90, IFI=.90, GFI=.92, SRMR=.072). Factor loadings ranged from .31 to .86. The internal consistency reliability coefficients of the four subscales were .71, .58, .77, and .64, respectively and the corrected item-total correlations ranged from .26 to .68.
