The COVID-19 pandemic has caused serious and long-term disturbances in people's lives all over the world, in both developing and developed countries. This has led to financial crisis and great depression in the GDPs of many countries. It has not only impacted the Multi-National Businesses (MNCs) but also disturbed the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and life’s of man vulnerable people. As the crisis continues, the pandemic's pervasive impacts, which have affected every part of our communities, continue to unfold, leaving profound marks on people's livelihoods and countries' economies that are likely to persist for several years after the pandemic has ended. As part of the global response to COVID-19, the digital technology industry especially Fintech (Financial Technology) has been instrumental in creating and delivering services and technologies that have mitigated, at least in part, the pandemic's effect on multiple aspects of people's lives in every part of the world. The Fintech companies and Start-ups have played a tremendous role in mitigating the inconvenience for the common people by implementing the next generation solutions for everyone and the people were quick to adopt to such a change. The interest and surge of usage of Fintech applications (Digital applications related to Finance/Payments/Banking/Ecommerce) carries in preserving people’s livelihoods and businesses that have been, and continue to be, threatened by the pandemic COVID-19. This working paper will discuss about the impact of digital payments in the developing country like India during COVID-19, Pre-COVID-19, evolution of digital transformation in India from the past few years, People adoption to digital technologies, digital literacy intensification in emerging markets and also discusses the future trends of Fintech and its impact on consumers and businesses even after the pandemic ends.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted face-to-face restrictions, which from a financial perspective reduces cash transactions. Payment with a cashless payment method is currently the leading choice of the community. Digital transactions are one way to anticipate the spread of viruses. This article aims to find out the behavior of the public towards the Cashless Payment method in financial transactions. The study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. Through qualitative approaches, it is found that people's behavior in digital transactions is more due to humanitarian reasons. Currently, people face the phenomenon of the rapid development of digital technology. The public has started implementing a payment system that uses electronic means of financial technology or fintech. That changes the transaction habits to be more practical and convenient. The digital transformation, which is rapidly developing, becomes more urgent in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic because many activities have become very dependent on digital services, including fintech. The fintech industry has helped financial transactions, particularly during large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Indonesia. The fintech payment system has facilitated and supported public transactions, and it is helpful for individuals, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Hence, the purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence the public interest in using OVO financial technology-based applications during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Soloraya region. The testing model used in this study was the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This research targeted the users of the OVO digital payment service living in Soloraya. The sampling technique used was a non-probability sampling technique with incidental sampling method and using Google form. Meanwhile, the data of this research was primary data gathered from questionnaires distributed online. From a total of 140 questionnaires received, the researcher could process 124 only. The results showed that the price and income factors had a significant positive effect on using the OVO applications. In contrast, the factors of satisfaction, benefit, and convenience did not significantly affect the interest in using OVO during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted digital financial inclusion trends across the world in many and complex ways. In developing and emerging contexts, this crisis also holds the potential to propel an unprecedented acceleration in the process of financial digitization and turn out to be a game-changer for digital financial inclusion. The aim of this study is to illustrate the opportunities and risks associated with the surge in uptake and use of digital financial service, providing ideas on how to leverage the paradigm changes affecting the overall approach and perspective towards digital financial services on the part of various stakeholders to advance financial inclusion and development. It also seeks to showcase how digital financial services have been used in both traditional and innovative ways to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on economies and societies, by both public and private actors.

With consumer behavior rapidly changing during the Covid-19 pandemic, financial services quickly realized that digitization is no longer an optional strategy or an experiment. With lockdowns in place across the globe, consumer preferences quickly shifted from in-store and inperson transactions to online shopping, digital banking, mobile payments. This left banks with no choice but to migrate their legacy infrastructure into the Cloud and adopt digital technologies to provide customers their preferred digital banking options.
