Limited Face-to-face Learning is a government initiative program to solve the problem of learning loss during online learning in the Covid 19 outbreaks by implementing strict health protocol procedures to prioritize student safety. This research aimed to describe the preparation for learning in the new normal period, explore the practice of limited face to face learning in English subject, and teachers’ strategies in teaching English in the post pandemic. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study with the total respondents were 45 English teachers of Senior high school in Banyuwangi. The data needed was obtained through questionnaire and interview. Teaching method selection is one of the factors in achieving learning objectives. This study aims to find out and analyze the use of teaching methods used by English teachers of Senior High School District Merauke. Some English teachers were the subject of this research that was taken from 4 Senior High School District Merauke. Selecting the sample used purposive sampling. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis. In collecting the data, researchers used interviews. Based on the result of the interview, the English teachers used a variety-teaching method in the teaching and learning process both online and offline learning. Teaching and Learning of English as a Foreign Language: The Impact of COVID-19

The purpose of this study was to discover the primary changes that the higher education systems-especially at the department level-brought in their teaching systems as a result of COVID-19. Considering COVID-19, this study also explored the challenges and opportunities EFL learners experienced in their learning contexts. Research Methodology: A qualitative research design was employed in the present study where semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from the study population who were 3 teachers and 7 students sampled through the purposive sampling technique from the English Department at Badghis Institute of Higher Education in Badghis, Afghanistan. The collected data from the participants were transcribed and read several times and the emerged codes and themes were analyzed accordingly. Results: The findings of this study indicated that there were some major changes in the teaching instructions where the learners faced some barriers when trying to adapt themselves to new changes. On the other hand, the paper revealed some opportunities EFL learners experienced in dealing with the changes in the teaching and learning system. Limitations: The limited sample size and the non-random selection method could be listed as limitations of this study. Contributions: The current paper provides the readers with suggestive approaches and opportunities university teachers and students could consider during any future pandemic.

Pandemic Covid-19 Emergency online teaching English language teaching and learning First year analysis The world recently witnessed the unexpected emergence of a coronavirus that caused the Covid-19 pandemic and severely impacted all aspects of human life. The sudden lockdown that came with the announcement of the pandemic affected health systems, the world economy and, inevitably, education systems across the globe. Due to the pandemic, schools and universities were closed, face-to-face education was suspended and a shift to emergency online teaching was instituted. English language training took its share in this transition and several studies were conducted to investigate the effects of the pandemic on emergency online teaching and the learning of English. This integrative literature review study analyses and synthesizes the research studies conducted between March 2020 and February 2021 to illustrate the first year of the pandemic in terms of English language teaching and learning globally. Thus, 69 research studies were selected for analysis. Findings show that the emergency online teaching and learning of English mainly created challenges due to the internet connection problems and students' access to computer or smart phones. On the other hand, contributing the teachers' digital literacy skills, the significance of online teaching and learning in case of emergency situations was highlighted as the findings showed. The studies produced conflicting results in terms of the implementation of emergency online teaching and learning practices, English language teachers and students' perceptions and attitudes, the affective, motivational and cognitive aspects, and the impact of emergency online teaching on the language development of students. English Teachers' Reflections and Lessons Learned in Language Teaching During COVID-19 Pandemic

This study seeks to find out the English teachers' reflections and lessons learned in language teaching during the pandemic. The method used was a guided narrative frame in which the teachers from the suburban wrote down their feelings and lived experiences. The data was analysed using thematic analysis and presented in themes. The findings indicate that the teachers found it challenging at the beginning of their online teaching. Both the teachers and students faced problems including economic situations, tech problems and mental struggles. Interestingly, this finding is similar to the outskirt teachers and students' problems. Besides, the teachers have learned the most vital things during their language teaching in the early year of the pandemic. They continuously shift their teaching strategies, provide personalised feedback to support the students' engagement, and become adaptable teacher-learners. Suggestions are provided for both teachers and policymakers.

English Teachers Instructional Practice in the Pandemic Outbreaks: The Efforts and Challenges

This research investigates English teachers' challenges and efforts in instructional practice during the pandemic outbreaks. It aims to know the English teachers' challenges in the instructional practice during the pandemic outbreaks and to know the English teachers' efforts during the pandemic outbreaks. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach and the data was collected through a set of questionnaire and interview. The participants are three English teachers of senior high school. The results show that there are some challenges in instructional practice; the implementation of online learning seems uneven and tends to be teachers centred, less curriculum material coverage, students were not discipline and passive in learning. It has been found also that there are some efforts to overcome the challenges during the pandemic outbreaks such as through the use of recorded videos and create good interactive lesson set to promote students' critical thinking and encourage the students' participation in online learning.
Teacher’s Role on Teaching English During Pandemic in a Blended Classroom

This paper analyses how the blended learning process is applied during the pandemic through the perspective of the role of the teacher. In this study, there were 68 students as respondents who were spread in the Merauke area in schools from the middle schools to the university level. In collecting data, the researcher used a questionnaire consisting of 27 items including the role of cognition, the role of affective and the role of managing. In analysing the data, the researcher used SPSS. In the findings, the cognitive aspect is the most effective aspect during applied blended learning, the affective aspect is the lower aspect, and the managerial aspect is the lowest aspect. Teachers who cannot optimally use the features found on various online learning platforms cause the low managerial aspect.

The Covid-19 pandemic forced Algerian higher education institutions (HEIs) to shift to emergency remote teaching (ERT) whereby face-to-face interactions were dismissed and the home became the new classroom. However, most universities and higher education schools preferred a blended system, where students were taught in class for times and remotely for some other times. The present paper reports on the results of an investigation into how teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at the University of Adrar, southern Algeria, reacted to the various issues and challenges encountered during ERT and, particularly to the blended teaching-learning process. A mixed-method approach was the main means of data elicitation. The findings reveal that the teaching staff is still resilient to change. The paper aims at assessing the instructors' commitment to online or face-to-face teaching; whereas, the ultimate aim is to invite the scientific community to discuss future post-Covid challenges to EFL.
