Hecrî'nin Divanında Olmayan Üç Kasîdesi (original) (raw)

2023, HECRÎ’NİN DİVÂNINDA OLMAYAN ÜÇ KASÎDESİ Hecrî's Three Odes Not Included In Hıs Dıwan

Poetry mecmuas (magazines) are mostly compiled works. The compilers compiled the mecmuas according to their own education, culture, lifestyle, taste, etc. Odes were a source of livelihood and promotion for poets. This situation also caused them to be used as a propaganda tool. The use of the ode as a propaganda tool sometimes led to its being written in a post-truth (fake-reality/truth trivialisation) manner. Mecmua-i Kasâid is registered in Yapı Kredi Sermet Çifter Library, number Y-0723 and is a compilation of poems written in the verse form of ode. Hecrî's (?-1557) real name was Mehmed. He was from Bursa. He was known as Kara Çelebi. He has used the poem pseudonym (Hecrî) "belonging to separation, accustomed to separation" in his poems. His father was Kadı Hüsamü'd-din and he was apprenticed to Kemal Paşazade. Hecrî was a learned poet who worked as a kadi and a mudarris. His language is clear and comprehensible and he followed the path of Necâtî in his poems. He successfully used proverbs and idioms in his poems. Hecrî's poems are dominated by separation and world troubles. Hecrî's only Turkish work is his Divân. There are no ode in his divân. However, the odes numbered 61, 62, 63 in the Mecmua-i Kasâid registered in Yapı Kredi Sermet Çifter Library number Y-0723 belong to a poet with the poet pseudonym Hecrî. The idioms used in the odes, the fact that the ode with the redif (rhyme) tîğ (sword) is a nazîre to Necâtî, the time of writing the odes and the language of the odes lead to the conclusion that these odes belong to Hecrî. The first two of the odes have redifs (rhymes) (tîğ (sword). 'alem (flag)) and the third has no redif. All three odes were written to Suleiman the Magnificent. Hecrî took tîğ and 'alem as a symbol and praised the sultan, his army, his state, his power and might, and his religion. In this study, Hecri's three odes not included in his diwan and their structure and content will be analysed.
