The Malaysian government has decided to halt all traditional classes as part of the pandemic control directives to control the spread of disease, which has a direct impact on institutions, instructors, and students. The sudden shift from a physical to an online classroom is creating the sense of isolation and lack of assistance that is frequently brought up by students when classes have low levels of student-instructor contact. The study used the quantitative method for data collection from 374 postgraduate students in Malaysian private universities. In order to test the hypothetical model, a PROCESS Model Type 4 mediation analysis was conducted. The proportional stratified random sampling technique—being the most straightforward and convenient method—was applied as the sampling technique for the study. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the global adoption of online learning, highlighting the importance of online education in providing educational continuity. However, factors such as poor internet connectivity and a lack of equipment have hampered the implementation of online learning in Malaysia. It is critical to address factors that influence student satisfaction in order to ensure a successful online educational process. As a result, the purpose of this study is to determine the effects of instructors, course design, technology, and environment on university students' satisfaction with online learning during the COVID-19 epidemic in Malaysia.The study's design was cross-sectional, and the research instruments were adapted from previous research. A total of 232 university students were recruited using convenience sampling, and data was collected using an online questionnaire. The findings show that course design, technology, instructors, and the environment are the best predictors of university students' satisfaction with online learning. The study adds to our understanding of the factors influencing students' satisfaction with online learning in Malaysia's education system during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings can help educational institutions and policymakers design and implement effective online learning courses that meet the needs of students and increase their satisfaction. Contribution/Originality: This study provides valuable insights for educational institutions seeking to enhance online learning experiences by examining the findings within the context of the Malaysian educational landscape during a global health crisis. This study enhances our comprehension of student satisfaction in online educational settings under exceptional circumstances. 1. This study investigated the determinants of students’ satisfaction with their online learning experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data was collected among 241 undergraduates enrolled in information management from a selected universities in Malaysia. The Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) results revealed that the independent variables, namely course design and digital resources, influenced students’ satisfaction with their new online learning experience. The findings have several implications for developing and maintaining practical and student-friendly online learning spaces in higher education. Most universities have implemented an online learning system to ensure that students, particularly those who are pursuing advanced degrees, can continue their education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Converting from traditional face-to-face classes to online mode is not a simple process. Students must adapt to the rapid changes and workload, which are mandatory for them to participate in. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that contribute to students' satisfaction with online learning, specifically on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social interaction, social presence and motivation. A quantitative study was conducted on 71 postgraduate coursework students at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu to determine the relationship between online learning satisfaction and the five variables. The findings indicated that only perceived ease of use and motivation could enhance online learning satisfaction. The study discovered that the majority of students were satisfied with online learning due to the convenience of attending such classes and their motivation to participate in those classes. Further research is recommended to focus on improving online education through reduction of stress and depression, particularly during pandemics.

Online Learning During Covid-19 Pandemic: A View of Undergraduate Student Perspective in Malaysia

The advancement of technology changes the mode of operation worldwide education industry, where educational services can be delivered either in face-to-face or online teaching. The outbreak of COVID-19 forced higher education institutions to shift from face-to-face teaching to fully online learning even though online learning yet to be fully implemented in many institutions. This trend has prompted us to study this interesting topic and gather information about undergraduate students' satisfaction of online learning from home due to the limited study focus on Malaysia. The operational of the study is based on the user satisfactions theories. A total of 156 questionnaires were distributed via judgement sampling guidelines. PLS-SEM was used for the data analysis. The results confirmed that, online learning system is useful but not user friendly. Technical system quality is up to the satisfactory level from students' perception. Furthermore, attitude was confirmed significantly impacting undergraduate students' satisfaction of online learning. Discussion of the findings, implication, and direction for future research are also presented in the final section of the study.

This research aims to find out how effect of internet utilization, learning media, and satisfaction level on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia. Researchers use this type of quantitative research. The population in this study were Management Students in semester 2 and 4 in the morning at Universitas Prima Indonesia. Semester 2 there are 7 classes with a total of 232 students, while in semester 4 there are 10 classes with a total of 350 students, so the total population of semesters 2 and 4 is 582 students. The sample used after the calculation using the Slovin formula is 237 samples from 582 populations. Multiple linear regression test consists of partial test (t), simultaneous test (F), and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results of partial test (t) show that internet utilization has significant effect on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia. Learning media has significant effect on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia. Satisfaction level has significant effect on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia. The results of simultaneous test (F) show that internet utilization, learning media, and satisfaction level have significant effect on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia. The results of the coefficient of determination test (R2) show coefficient value is 0.205. This value means that internet utilization, learning media, and satisfaction level effect on online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in case study of Management Students, Universitas Prima Indonesia by 20.5%. While 79.5% is influence by variables outside this study.

Since the pandemic outbreak, most of the students of higher learning have to instantaneously adapt to online teaching as part of today's new norms. Malaysia is also not an exception to this situation. Since March 2020, most of the higher learning students had to undergo lectures and tutorials via online platform for the entire academic year. As a result, various feelings and opinions on the effectiveness of online teaching were ubiquitously discussed particularly on the cognitive ability of the students to comprehend online lectures. Generally, it has been agreed that, the most challenging issue is the internet coverage involving students residing in the interior areas that either have poor or no internet access. Hence, the main objective of this paper is to unravel higher learning students' perceptions on the effectiveness of online teaching and learning in Malaysia during this pandemic. To achieve this, this paper focuses on undergraduate students from the International Relations (IR) Programme at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) located in Sabah. Such a selection is due to Sabah being one of the states that is facing enormous challenges to provide internet services for academic learning. The data collection method for this study is a combination of documentary analysis and the online of survey-questionnaires distributed to 100 IR students as the main respondents. From the findings, this paper crucially identifies the students' internet problems as well as recommends remedies to increase the effectiveness of online teaching at higher learning institutions in Malaysia.
