This study aims to reveal the opinions of middle school students regarding science after attending “Artvin Bilim ve Robotikle Renkleniyor” project including variety of science activities related with robotic, science and nature under the scope of TUBITAK 4004 Nature and Science School program. Data of the current study was collected via a personal information form and a survey from a total of 30 6th and 7th grade students in six middle schools in Artvin province who participated in the project. In this study, a two-question survey developed by Akay (2013) was used to reveal the students' opinion regarding science. Intrinsic motivation is one of the main driving forces for students' interest and attitude towards learning STEM subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Unfortunately, students' interest and attitude towards STEM subjects are on the decline. A continued decline, if unchecked, will affect the number of students' enrolment into the STEM fields. This study was conducted to investigate the students' interest, attitude and intrinsic motivation towards learning STEM subjects by appraising the pro educational modules that include assembling and dismantling the minimalist robots and by providing software training to the students. The results of hypothesis testing of P-value generated via Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS) v2.5 indicate the effectiveness of Minimalist Robot Education Programme. The students' interest, attitude and intrinsic motivation show a significant difference towards the learning of STEM. The findings also show that all the alternative hypotheses: (1) students' interest towards learning STEM is increased as a result of participating in the Minimalist Robotic Education Programme; (2); students' attitude towards learning STEM increased as a result of participating in the Minimalist Robotic Education Programme Promoting Students' Interest, Attitude and Intrinsic Motivation Towards Learning STEM and (3) students' intrinsic motivation towards learning STEM increased as a result of participating in the Minimalist Robotic Education Programme set for this study.These favorable findings can be a platform for advocating the application of robotics in the Malaysian curricula.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of the Science and Arts Center (SAC) teachers regarding the in-service training course on “Robotics Education”. In regards to this, the teachers were expected to evaluate their thoughts and expectations on the robotic education and how much of their expectations were met at the end of the training process. The study has an action research design in which the qualitative data collection tools are used. The study group consists of 9 teachers working at the SAC. For the study, semi-structured forms were used as data collection tools. The data were evaluated with the content analysis method, first in terms of the codes then by the creation of themes. The results of the analyses showed that teachers were satisfied with the training, the perceptions on engineers regarding the task changed, that interest in robots increased and that by understanding the basic operating logic of the robot, they gained self-confidence in regards to performing...

Educational robotics (ER) is increasingly present in secondary education classrooms and has acquired greater projection, especially with the appearance of championships, such as FIRST ® LEGO ® League. These competitions are based on a globalizing focus of the different areas of the curriculum, therefore, we consider that it directly links with the achievement of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) skills. We present a research study that provides objective data based on the opinions of teachers and students that participated in this championship during the course 2017/2018 about its impact in the learning process. To this end, Spanish students and teachers answered questionnaires to collect their perceptions and assessments just after their participation. The results obtained allow us to conclude that both teachers and students believe this project promotes interest and scientific curiosity, as well as social skills through teamwork.
The Effect of Robotics Program on Students Attitude Towards Science

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of robotics program on students attitude towards science. A total of 374 year 6 students (12years old) involving 10 primary schools from Malacca and Selangor have participated in this study. The researcher used Test of Science Related Attitudes (TOSRA) questionnaire developed by Fraser (1981) to measure students attitude towards science. In this study the researcher used a non-survey quantitative approach method with a quasi- experimental design involving treatment and control group. The changes in students attitude towards science was measured in three different times involving pre-test, post-test 1 and post-test 2. Abstract: This research originated from a problem that occurred in the sixth grade of SDN 44 Alur Tengah, North Lintau Buo Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province, originating from the problem of lack of concrete props about explaining the eclipse process. The purpose of this study was to improve the results of learning and motivation of students in following the learning process in the field of Natural Sciences, the material for the process of eclipses. The research used ADDIE Development Research (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Improving student learning outcomes has increased from. Before the props were applied the average learning outcomes were 68.57 and after the average teaching aids were applied the learning outcomes were 83.33. The conclusion of this research is the application of Malin Kundang Robot Miniature Props Development can improve learning outcomes and activities of class VI students of SDN 44 Alur Tengah.
The Effect of Activities in a Robotic Project on The Students’ Perception on The Nature of Science
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the activities in a robotic project, which is related to seeing and hearing, on the students' perception on the nature of science. The scope of the study is restricted within the project funded by Tubitak and conducted at Mevlana University. The number of students involved is 48. In this study, a hybrid research method, which is a blend of a descriptive scan model, without controlled group and pre-test, post-test semiexperimental patterns, is utilized. The working groups consist of 48 students, who are volunteer to take a part in the research and they are from 3 different high schools in Konya city. The data is collected using the Scale for Understating Nature of Science. The scale consists of 35 items which are grouped in three factors. In the project, two sessions are organized to which 2 groups of 24 students are registered. In a-five-days long session, 5 activities take place. Each activity is organized as 2-hour activity which takes places between 10:00 am and 12:00 am in the morning. The second group of activities are started, after completing the activities in the first session. All activities are designed as a competition and the first three groups are rewarded. For each of the activities, a leaflet is prepared and it is distributed to the students before activities. In the leaflet, the aim of the activity, the concept and the rules related to the competition and technical details, if any, are explained. On the data collected using the scale, some statistical test are applied such as mean, frequency, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis H, and t test. The level of meaning for difference and correlation is set as p<0,05. The obtained results might be summarized as follows: The Students' perception on the nature of science is found to be at middle level and there is no instance with low level perception among the students. This can be explained with the fact that, although the activities are in the summer time, all students take part in these activities voluntarily. The robotics activities in the project help to improve the students' perception on the nature of science.
The Impact of Robotic Activities on Secondary School Students’ Interest in Physics in Kenya

Educational robotic activities can be used to support teaching of science subjects. Many secondary school students have little interest in Physics as a subject and hence only a few students select it in preparation of career progression. Robotic activities can be employed to facilitate practical learning in science subjects in general with the Physics subject benefiting the most. In Kenya, there is little research on the role robotic activities can play on learning of these subjects. This study developed robotic activities from educational robots fabricated by the researcher. The activities presented learners in secondary school with diverse opportunities of enriching their learning of Physics as a Science subject.
