Abstract
This study set to compare academic achievement of students in Integrated Science and Basic Science in Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State, Nigeria. The study utilised the ex-post facto design. 6950 students from ten (10) schools purposively selected from the twenty-seven (27) schools in Ohafia L.G.A. served as sample. Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scores and a well structured questionnaire were the instruments used for data collection. Data were analysed using students t-test and mean. Results indicated that there is no significant difference between the academic achievement of male and female students in integrated science, male and female students in basic science. Also there is no significant difference between the academic achievement of students in integrated science and Basic Science.
