Background: Looking at the current scenario, environmental awareness becomes a necessity in order to avoid further exploitation of our natural biotic systems. Environmental awareness amongst the students would directly become proportional to their participation in the environmental related issues. Aims: To evaluate the level of environmental awareness and responsibilities amongst the students of H.L. college of commerce, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Materials and Methods: It is a cross-sectional survey, in which 197 students of First, Second and Third year students of H.L. College of commerce, Ahmedabad, participated voluntarily. A self administered structured questionnaire with multiple-choice questions was designed for this survey. Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis using SPSS version 20 software. Results: The awareness regarding environmental issues is mediocre. The response regarding environmental responsibility is good enough. In this study, we found that >50% of respondents reveal positive inclination towards environmental awareness and individual responsibility for pollution free environment, thus preserving the environment using renewable sources of energy and cost effective transport mechanism as well as learning the environmental issues and their management through lectures or seminars. One of the significant finding was that <50% of respondents shows negative attitude regarding saving our environment. Conclusion: The respondents agreed that global climate is changing at a rapid pace. It's all because of human activities but implementation is a major concern. Nationwide surveys could help mitigate the issues, implementing laws that will preserve the environment and bring awareness amongst the future generations.
Investigation of the Environmental Attitudes and Approaches of University Students’
The purpose of this study is to determine university students' approach to environment and nature, and their awareness of environmental protection. For this purpose, a survey with sample of 12% applied to the students of the Faculty of Architecture, Gazi University. Approaches and attitudes of students evaluated according to variables of age, gender and their attended programs and grades within the scope of protection of the environment, human-environment-nature relationship, the use of natural resources, environmental issues, economic growth and industrialization issues. Descriptive statistics and quantitative methods were used in the process of analysis and evaluation of the data collected. In the conclusion of study, It has been determined that students participated to this study are indecisive about environmentalist and nature-centered approaches. Students were also found to be indecisive about sensitivity related to environment, nature and environmental issues, in taking individual responsibility and changing their attitudes and behaviors. When approaches and sensitivities of students analyzed according to their gender; sensitivities of girl students were higher, and according to their department; sensitivities of students at the department of urban and regional planning were found to be higher. There is no significant relationship found between the environmental awareness of students and courses taken by these students about ecology and the environment.

Background: The disruption of the ecological system and the environmental destructions require that we review our relations with the outer world and therefore increase our awareness on environmental problems as individuals. This study has been conducted to determine the environmental awareness levels of the first and fourth grade university students studying at different academic fields, and investigate the factors that affect the awareness levels of them. Methods: The study was designed in the descriptive style and was applied to first and fourth grade 384 students studying at various faculties of Inonu University in 2015-2016 academic years. The “Environmental Attitude Scale” was used in data collection. A Study On Attitude And Behaviours Of Undergraduate Students Towards Environmental Issues
Environmental degradation has emerged as a serious issue in the world today. Human factor is the largest contributor to the environmental degradation which might pose serious threats to sustain life on earth. Therefore, there is a dire need to pay serious attention towards protecting life on earth. Encouraging the adoption of a pro-environmental behavior is critical in order to reduce the environmental impacts to move toward a more sustainable future. Education plays an important role in training professionals who have an important role in protecting the environment in the future. This study was aimed at determining the environmental attitudes and environmentally responsible behaviours of the undergraduate students toward environmental issues. The study also aims to investigate the effects of the faculty in which the students are enrolled, locality and gender on the determined environmental attitudes and environmentally responsible behaviours of the students. The research method used was a survey and data analysis techniques using the t-test. The sample consisted of 150 undergraduate students randomly selected to measure environmental attitude and behaviours. According to the results, students have high positive attitude towards environmental behaviors.

Objective: This study was carried out as a descriptive study, aiming to reveal the environmental awareness and knowledge levels of the students studying at Karadeniz Technical University Health Services Vocational School. Method: The study was conducted with KTU HSVS students (n=184) in the 2016-2017 academic year. The data of the study were collected with "environmental awareness" and "environmental behavior" scales. Each of the scales was prepared with 13 items and 5 likert types. The significance level α = .05 was taken as the basis for the intergroup significance tests. SPSS-17 program was used for the analysis of the data. Data, descriptive statistics and unrelated samples were analyzed by t-test technique. The Environmental degradation is the major concern in the world of globalization. Due to rapid increase in human population and non-sustainable developments in every sector, the environmental pollution is increasing day by day. Lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere are getting polluted by human activities beyond the rational limit. So there is an urgent need to increase the level of awareness among human beings to conserve, preserve and nurture environmental resources. Consequently, environmental education should be included in school curriculum as well as in college curriculum right from the beginning. The present study was conducted to study the environmental awareness among post graduate students of Aligarh Muslim University. In the present study a total of 200 student's sample has been taken from different faculties of Aligarh Muslim University. The findings of the study indicated that level of environmental awareness among science students was greater than other faculties' students. The results also reveal that the female students were more aware than male students. The urban students have much more awareness as compared to rural students.

Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices on Environmental Protection and Conservation of NDMU Students
The research was carried out to determine the awareness, knowledge, attitude, behavior and practices in environment protection of college students from Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. The researcher conducted a survey by providing respondents with questionnaires about the environment, sound practices and favorable behavior in the promotion of environment protection which was then administered to a total of 361 bona fide college students of NDMU who were enrolled in five different colleges in the university namely: CBA, CAS, CED, CET and CHS. The participants who were randomly selected were given a questionnaire. The respondents were highly represented by students from the College of Business Administration, females and most of the participants were first year students.

Students’ behaviour as citizens towards environment is an act of voluntary and free to conduct activities that benefit the environment. This study aims to analyse the influence environmental sensitivity, knowledge of environmental issues, and intention to act, with students’ behaviour as citizens towards the environment. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and using survey methods, and analysed using path analysis. The number of samples used as respondents was 188 students in grade XI of MIA SMAN 1 Tarumajaya Tambun Utara Kabupaten Bekasi school year of 2019/2020. Based on the results of hypothesis it can be concluded that there is a positive direct influence of environmental sensitivity towards knowledge of environmental issues.
